Outliner

Basically you make any shape and it can be anything for exaple ill make a dragon shape no detail no eyes mouth and teeth just the shape all in one block of wood or something you select the tool Outliner and selet the outline of the shape , its a little like the corner editer but when u seleect the out line you cn save it asa Custom Outline Shape. this shape outline will now be ready to usein your popit as a shape instead of the default of triangle, star, circle ETC and you can cut that same shape out of a box so this can be usefull to save time. (this time it will be a dragon with a hole for a eye) This is very good you will be able to make anything much more easier and if you have a object with a hole in it then you slect the hole aswell to make it part of the shape so if you get a box and use the dragon as a take away tool shape then it will remain the eye or inverted if you want it inverted you place the dragon shape into the scene as normal. Phew........... What do you guys Think? ![]() | 2010-12-01 20:40:00 Author: Joka232 ![]() Posts: 68 |
I think that's a lot of description! ![]() I see what you're saying, but it seems like you're over thinking things a bit. Once you have your shape, you can already save that as an object. Then all you need to do is select/copy/paste your object and plunk it down however many times you need it. Then change it to any material you like. Isn't that easier, or am I missing your point? ![]() | 2010-12-01 21:50:00 Author: Rustbukkit ![]() Posts: 1737 |
It's a good idea but we can do it already as Rustbukkit said. I do it all the time ![]() | 2010-12-02 19:43:00 Author: Radishlord ![]() Posts: 706 |
NOOOO look u know how u can select a material such as wood for example and then you pick what shape to use such as square or circle or triangle well once you made you initital shape such as a octagon ( not selctable as a shape in default ) you can save it as a shape......or maybe a dragon head shape and save it so you can make a box and have a hole looking like a dragon head ? get it? | 2010-12-05 19:49:00 Author: Joka232 ![]() Posts: 68 |

Yeah actually this is a really good idea. It wouldn't be too complicated for MM to add either... you'd just need to seriously limit the complexity of shapes (much more so than ordinary objects). | 2010-12-05 20:07:00 Author: thor ![]() Posts: 388 |
Yes I do that with my captured objects, however it would be more convenient in the basic shape section. Oh, and octagons are a default shape ![]() | 2010-12-05 22:06:00 Author: Radishlord ![]() Posts: 706 |
You can make a dragon shaped hole, just copy the shape, and press the triangle button to delete the selected shape. | 2010-12-05 22:54:00 Author: iBubek ![]() Posts: 682 |
LOL never knew that AHAHHA lol , still be nice to have that option | 2010-12-06 16:13:00 Author: Joka232 ![]() Posts: 68 |
LOL never knew that AHAHHA lol , still be nice to have that option Sorry, I assumed it was a given. I should have said 'Then all you need to do is select/copy/paste or cut" your object. I figured since you'd been a member here since September that you would have already figured that out. I guess we sometimes forget that what we've found out early on in the game's release and think is obvious... sometimes isn't. ![]() This, coupled with being able to categorize your abject (here, in case you missed this new game feature https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=38692-GET-ORGANIZED!!-LBP2-beta-video-New-Categorization-and-Organization-Popit-features.) , will erase any need for an outline tool at all. | 2010-12-06 17:34:00 Author: Rustbukkit ![]() Posts: 1737 |
