Roots Blower/Vacuum Possible?

Archive: 9 posts

Bored at work and just though if this was possible?
I know it is possible to build, but will it actually pull a vacuum? enough to effect the scene?

It is technically possible, but there are no wind effects in the game, unless you cause wind by means of putting your level on wheels.

I would say a "blower" would 'technically' be possible... (use a glass based bounce object?... it wouldnt' be pretty using it, but it could be effective).2008-11-03 21:41:00

Im actually working on a sinking ship level, and i have the whole thing on a piston, I have the ship start at the roof of the level, but go down very slow, it makes the sacks jump higher, and light objects will float! Im talking carboard or small objects. Its really cool.2008-11-03 21:58:00

i haven't messed around with them much, but do rockets actually push other objects behind them (like a real rocket would)? could you perhaps attach a rocket to something that is nailed down and have its exhaust push other light stuff?

what do you mean exactly by a glass based bounce object?

I think he means an emitter that shoots small glass particles that will push things when they hit them.
