Chocolate/Advent Calendar

Archive: 20 posts

You know what they are, a big flat piece of cardboard with a festive picture on it, and numbers on it from 1 to 25. And behind those numbers: chocolate! Who's getting a chocolate calendar this year?

For an LBP themed calendar, check this (http://plagachef.com/christmas/calendar.html) out.

We call them Advent Calendars here. Not sure if I'm going to bother with one this year. They are sort of fun though. Did you guys hear about the million dollar one? Has gold nuggets and watches and all sorts of expensive gifts in it. Heard about it on the radio the other day.2010-11-30 21:08:00

Please don't tell me they've stopped calling them Advent Calendars because of political correctness or some other nonsense. I will most definitely rage if that's the case

@morgana: gold nuggets don't taste as good as chocolate

You obviously haven't tried a gold bar.

(Chocolate) Advent calendar for me. Though I'm not allowed another Lego one, since I've had them for 3 years running. (Highly recommended though!)2010-11-30 22:15:00

I decided to get one this year, since I hadn't had one for some two years, and I missed my chocolate! Oh and sorry, I'll change the title to include advent, I just couldn't remember the proper name. :blush:2010-12-01 00:27:00

but apparently most of lbpc is. :kz:

Never understood the concept of waiting for something that you already bought instead of getting/using it.

Having a tiny bite of chocolate every day for a month would be annoying.
I would just buy a block of chocolate.

I had one once when I was younger, but I cheated.

I have a calendar that only has pictures... or actually one big picture and every day when you open a window (or whatever it is) something changes.
A chocolate calendar would also be nice but I didn't buy one this year... instead, I bought one of these today

*cough* Technically Christmas is not Christian *cough*

But I won't spoil the fun for others anyway (Though anybody wanting to pick up a decent fight with me, containing intelligent replies, are more than welcome ), for me it is family gathering around and having a good time... Yes gifts are a part of it, but not as big. Plus, I always do enjoy the calendar. I like to save the chocolates just to eat them all in a buch later on!

I'm not Christian and I have one. My sister said she wanted a picture one this year, not a chocolate. Wha?

Also, Lego ones are dang expensive. Always wanted one, never had one.
