Level Idea
Archive: 8 posts
In the vein of smaller non platforming levels, I've thought of making a tank level. There would be 2 teams of two, or 1 v 1. Each side would have to put the pieces of tank together on their side of the level, then attempt to destroy the other teams tank with explosive projectiles, like those seen in the Arctic Base level. What do you guys think? | 2008-08-05 12:35:00 Author: Dropbear Posts: 272 |
Sounds good! But I don't know if you can have the sackboys on opposite sides of the screen building a tank if they're too far away from eachother.. Anyways, sure theres a workaround. Sounds like good fun | 2008-08-05 13:22:00 Author: Maltay Posts: 2073 |
I only see one small flaw with your idea... How do you make the game determine when the tank is built? Couldn't a player, in theory, just assemble the cannon section and start firing away? I do like the idea of pitting teams against each other, though. If you made tanks out of cardboard, could it be destroyed by fire or would you have to hit a 'brain' to make it vanish? | 2008-08-05 13:24:00 Author: 1000101 Posts: 192 |

Hmm. Maybe if you had hills that the tanks would have to go over to get to each other, it would make more surface area to cover in the least amount of space? Like a large W? EDIT: the forum doesn't want to show what I mean. | 2008-08-05 16:38:00 Author: Unknown User |

EDIT: the forum doesn't want to show what I mean. We understand you though! And it would make aiming the guns alot more of a challenge. | 2008-08-05 17:27:00 Author: Maltay Posts: 2073 |

I was planning on having proximity detectors that all had to be in place in order to start rolling/firing the cannon. I would plan to have it hit the other tanks a few times before it would fall apart. | 2008-08-06 10:12:00 Author: Dropbear Posts: 272 |
