So I was just remembering how much I dread paying my monthly rent. Where I live, you will not find even the smallest 1 bedroom apartment or studio for less than $1000 a month. IUsually at least $1500+ for a 1 bedroom , $1800 + for 2 bedroom, and it just goes up and up from there. What's it like for everyone in the rest of the country / world?

Here in sunny San Diego... about the same. Some go up to $5,000. Give or take $100-200 (mostly give).

Yeah, same... it gets absolutely ridiculous at the higher end of the spectrum. I just randomly punched a little search in Manhattan apartments and saw stuff going upwards of 10k for a 2 bedroom and I stopped right there... heh. There are cheap places, though. Well... sort of.

$1300 a month for a 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom two-story house (but it's pretty small for a two-story tbh). We never buy houses, we always rent, and then move to another house after a year (not sure why). Though I shouldn't really be concerned about this stuff since I'm only 14 lol

Yeah, its about the same as Foofles near L.A. too. (the nice part of L.A. that is) Here's some good advice: save up money until you can actually buy a home Mortgages and rent are rip-offs

I pay the equivalent of USD$300 P/W so that is about $1200 per month for a small 1bathroom 3bedroom house, This is under the market rate which would be closer to $1480 per month.

The rent is high because people know your habits when you play Foofles Here in Rome, 40 square meters flats in the outskirts are up to 850 ?. In the center of the city, prices skyrocket. Don't really know anyway about rents since we own our houses. The only thing I can say is that my family rents a 50 square meters flat just by the sea 40 km from Rome at 500 ?.

I dont know much about rent in london either since i think ive always lived in my parents own house, only that my big brother has to pay ?600 a month, and he house sharing with three friends :O in a pokey little house. although i guess hes paying for the area as they say on property shows

2 bedroom luxury flat in easy commute distance from Glasgow, right next to a large Shopping Centre costs me ?500 a month. Of course, when I add on Council Tax, House Insurance etc it's costs me a bit more than that. But actually I got the rent pretty cheap because they were brand new flats and needed tennents to fill them.

In the Pacific Northwest of the USA, I am paying just shy of $1900 for my house which is just barely over 1800 SQ feet 3 Bedroom + large Rec Room and 1 1/2 bath sitting on 3/4 acre. Older house built in the late 70's. I would say its pretty accurate in my neck of the woods and surrounding areas.

1,500-3,000 not that much.. people who rent usually don't stay for long and they 95% of the time work in the oil sands which can easily give you 1,500 in 3days or less depending if its overtime.

?400 for tiny 1 bedroom flat. ?90 council tax before LHA. It's as cheap as it gets around here (unless it's shared acco). Best to go on the housing list.
