Basically get the front 3D layer object and then attach it to the bottom of your object. Turn the 3D layer block to dark matter. Save your object and make an emitter on a thin layer and make sure that you emit one and make sure it has infinite lifetime. Then move the thin to the back layer and then make the object in the emitter. Then move the emitter to the front. And if you have done It right then it will be in he background! Just be wary that if it isn't secured by dark matter it will discombobulate | 2010-11-29 10:51:00 Author: AssassinatorRFC Posts: 715 |
Yeah, be wary of the "discombobulation". I fell fowl to that a while ago.... glad i found this. | 2010-11-29 20:01:00 Author: Dialgax07 Posts: 94 |

Just be wary that if it isn't secured by dark matter it will discombobulate You don't need to glue the 3d layer tool to your object. You can just capture them together. Also to be clear, you must unpause and then quickly pause again before you move the emitter to the front layer, making sure that the object doesn't actually emit during the millisecond that the game is unpaused. Once the emitter is moved to the front layer, only then you can unpause again to let the object appear in the back layers. It's best to set the emission interval to 1 or 2 seconds to allow for the quick unpause/pause step of the process. | 2010-11-29 20:29:00 Author: Ungreth Posts: 2130 |
