Naux Glitch Recreation Video w/ effects
Archive: 31 posts
GreyMRP was nice enough to film me making the Naux glitch (so I could send it to Spaff), so I thought I'd post it here: Naux Recreated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLRdZNzpXxY Part of the video that shows jumping out of water is really hard seems to be gone. Naux's Effect in LBP2 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAYd4ouagw0 This glitch is a permanent profile glitch, so if you give it to yourself, you'd better be hoping that you have a profile backup. | 2010-11-28 06:31:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
I will definitely watch this...as soon as my webternets come back.... | 2010-11-28 06:51:00 Author: AA_BATTERY Posts: 1117 |
Thats really good work there, well done | 2010-11-28 09:56:00 Author: Kern Posts: 5078 |
Um, uh, huh? So you just have to quickly copy the starting checkpoint thingy as soon as a Sackperson jumps out of it if you want to naux him? That's all!? That's kinda frightening... I mean, everyone could be naux'ed easily, right? EDIT: Sorry, you don't have to copy it, but just move it, if I watched correctly. | 2010-11-28 12:32:00 Author: iArekusu Posts: 402 |
Hmm, that's similar to a profile glitch I had. I destroyed the starting point with a brain instead, which renders the profile unplayable. I'm going to stop messing around with checkpoints now | 2010-11-28 13:52:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
@iAreKusu: Nope, select the checkpoint as soon as he spawns. And it has to be box select. @Radishlord: That's a good idea. | 2010-11-28 17:02:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
^ Oh, I see! :o I had trouble with trying to select it while a guest Sack jumps out of it, but I'll just retry it later. Thanks anyways | 2010-11-28 18:50:00 Author: iArekusu Posts: 402 |
@Radishlord: That's a good idea. I'll stop.. until LBP2 comes out. I wanna see what a destroyer switch can do to one | 2010-11-28 19:00:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
I wanna see what a destroyer switch can do to one Not a good idea either. @iArekusu: I sent you a psn friend request, but I promise you this glitch is going to be a pain in the ****. | 2010-11-28 19:12:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
In that case, could a level online cause this glitch? | 2010-11-29 21:56:00 Author: ThisDudeRufus Posts: 170 |
In that case, could a level online cause this glitch? Who knows? It seems to be random most of the time. | 2010-11-29 23:39:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |

So this is the infamous Naux Glitch... Wait a minute! In the video, they just selected the sackperson instead of copying it! I've just had an idea! What if you emitted a checkpoint with a finite lifetime, selected the sackperson with it like they did in the video, and then waited for the checkpoint to dissolve? You'd be left selecting only the sackperson! Would that do away with the inability to resize the sack'? Would you be able to glue the sack' to something and then capture it? I'm gonna have to try this out! | 2010-12-01 23:59:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |

I'm gonna have to try this out! Pretty much everything you said there will be just a waste of time, because I have tried it all, besides using an emitter. All that will do is take away the checkpoint. I reccomend caution though, because every time I go farther than just selecting sackboy with the checkpoint to get the Naux glitch, my ps3 ends up freezing, and I have a slim. So be careful. You aren't going to unlock new possibilities either, since sackboy is such a fragile "object". (ps: you can save sackboy too: just get out your save objects tool and push X when he spawns. If you do it right, you will see an invisible object in your tool bag. Selecting it will freeze your ps3.) | 2010-12-02 04:44:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
Drat... Yeah, I tried this last night, and every time I managed to select him, he "broke" in a few seconds. Good thing I backed up immediately beforehand, 'cause it gave me the Naux and TheckXMen glitches. I had also tried saving him as an object, but... yeah, pretty disappointing... | 2010-12-02 20:18:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |

I have a similar object in my popit, I managed to create a chrome version of it but It just gave me a chrome checkpoint. I paused and set a switch to the emitter so it "wasn't activated", then I used this method (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=38197-Chrome-glitch-methods&p=659734#post659734) to create a chrome copy. What does your objects picture look like? | 2010-12-02 20:56:00 Author: lifeiscrapislife Posts: 396 |
Does anybody know whether its possible to be a Thecx man without the naux glitch? or are they one and the same | 2010-12-02 21:38:00 Author: Skalio- Posts: 920 |
^ As far as I understood, the Naux Glitch hasn't got any ThecX effects, but the ThecX man got the Naux glitches... or something like that. I still need to see it for myself, sorry. Okay, I got it wrong ' | 2010-12-02 22:03:00 Author: iArekusu Posts: 402 |
You can be a ThecX without having Naux, but you get thecX when you get Naux. | 2010-12-02 22:30:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
Ok wow, this is interesting. Can someone give me a runthrough on what this glitch is, as well as this "ThecX" thing? I know it's famous but I somehow managed to miss the initial developments. | 2010-12-03 01:37:00 Author: Unknown User |

A really bad profile glitch. All you need to know. (Some people think it's "cute", until they get it. It makes your sackboy slightly shorter and fatter, and there are side effects that make some levels impossible.) | 2010-12-03 01:43:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
This glitch is temporarily cured by deleting (all) checkpoints in the level (in create mode) and making an entrance gate emit every 0.1 seconds, with a lifetime of 0.1 seconds, and max emitted at once set at 1. | 2010-12-04 03:35:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
How long is temporary? I don't have this glitch, thankfully, however, I really do hope Mm finds a way to patch this.. I feel bad for you guys. It must be near (If not completely) impossible to complete some levels... Jeez, that must suck.. | 2010-12-04 03:41:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |

It must be near (If not completely) impossible to complete some levels... Jeez, that must suck.. Temporary = However long you are in create mode with the emitter going, lol. When you go back to the pod you have it again. Why does an emitter effect it though is my question. The emitter also fixes pounded_by_slave's inf. respawn glitch. Hey guys, Spaff replied to my video email, hopefully they'll get it fixed now. | 2010-12-06 23:52:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
What did he say? | 2010-12-07 03:24:00 Author: AA_BATTERY Posts: 1117 |
What did he say? He asked me what kind of code I'll need for my bug blaster. xD As long as he saw it. I've told him about the bothersome things about the glitch in the past so Mm better try to fix it. | 2010-12-07 03:26:00 Author: GreatWhite000 Posts: 673 |
