why do i have a "black box"?

Every once in a while out of nowhere, I (and everyone else with me) will get a 'black box' from the neck down to about 1 small grid unit below the feet. It sorta 'jumps' onto anything i am standing on. It does not change anything i can do. But it is VERY annoying! the only way i have found to fix it is restart LBP. Does anyone else have this problem? Or know anyone who does? Any information would be great thanks!
