Tech demo: Disability

TECH DEMO: DISABILITYjacobzn
This is a level for the blind. To say it as quick as possible. This level is only made of sound.

If you hear a low pitch sound, you must jump, of you hear a high pitch noise its a enemy that you can jump over or run into to take the risk to get some points. A happy tune means you're standing next to a checkpoint.

Start the level, listen to the tutorial and then close your eyes. If you have a Dualshock 3 it's even better. Then you can feel when your close to lethal materials.

Tis will soon become a level. By then the tech will be improved.

I played it, it was a very interesting concept! It worked out very well. I'd have liked there to be more actions though, maybe a jump and grab sound? It was very fun for what it was though, I'd like to see more! 2010-11-26 22:21:00

Aww man, wish my PS3 was working.

Good tech demo on a good concept. As booXely said, there could be more actions, but it was a fun concept to grasp.

Although, when you lit the level up at the end, 3 problems:

1) All the SFX were visible
2) You could see in places where you corner-edited it
3) In most tech demos, doesn't it not show you how it's made?

Just sayin'

It's still a fun concept, I must say

Aww, this is nice. A level that is'nt restricted if you can't see.
A vey good idea, and one i'll have to try out! (possibly blindfolded for the full effect)

Thank you for the kind comments. I decided to show all SFX to give a little view over how it was created. The level took roughly 2 hours to create while the tech took 2 days of hard thinking. I wanted to show it so other people could adopt the idea and use it in their levels.
