My timing was very bad as I had neglected the fact that final exams were beginning in the near future. I also had some nasty trouble with my internet connection, another reason why I failed to finish what I had started. But exams are over, the internet is back and I'm alot readier to kick off this contest! As an apologetic notion I am doubling the prize XP and I personally will be photographing every single entry. So without any further ado... Character Contest? Who in the what when how why!? Oh yes you read it right! I am running a character create contest for LBP PSP. Characters are defined as anything from a small Sackboy or Sackgirl to a huge terrifying Boss and everything in between. The point of this contest is to further develop your character creation skills and furthermore to give you an oppurtunity to show off your character ideas to the LittleBigPlanet community. The theme: Magnificent Mechanics Robots, cyborgs, killer washing machines! The theme this time round requires of some sort of mechanical creation. Evil or good? Helpful or deterring? The choice is yours as you spend endless days in your underground basement... err laboratory, cooking up what could be the destroyer of earth, the saviour of toast or even the solution to flat tires! As long as your character consists of at least one mechanical limb, it's eligible. Well what are you waiting for? Get to it! The Rules 1. You may use any material or sticker to decorate and/or construct your characters, including those from DLC. 2. You may submit your character entry as part of a full level that has not been previously published. However, a full level is NOT required. If part of a full level, only the character will be considered for judging. 3. You can submit as many characters as you can produce within the given time period. 4. Participants cannot win twice in a row, but winners of the previous round may submit entries for fun. 5. Judges may participate in the contest but are ineligible to claim the prize. 6. Participating levels must be posted on this thread by the deadline (see below). Please provide your PSN username and level title on your entry post. 7. If you're not sure what to name your level, call it 'LBPC Character Contest'. Otherwise the title is up to you! 8. By posting your character in this thread, you agree to the fine print stated below. The Deadline The deadline for this contest is 10 December 2010 at 11:59 PM GMT. Late characters will be dysfunctional The Royalties The contest winner will recieve 1200 experience points 2nd place will recieve 600 and 3rd place 300 experience points The Judges Alismuffin TBD The Fine Print By participating in this contest, you agree that you understand that the judges will make their decisions objectively, fairly, and in an unbiased manner.
