i forget what i was going to quote. your only hope with voice acting is multiple takes, as many as it takes, and to keep your pitch and enunciation steady, semi-rapid and never droning. from what i can tell, if you drag or pause your speech for almost any amount of time, the compression and noise reduction picks up the brief instances of background interference and uses that lengthy sample to filter across the entire vocal track. a noise reduction should only be made with less than 2 seconds of white noise in an average room on crappy equipment, and on this, any amount of interference that overpowers your presence will result in half your tone being shaved off the high ends, and all your low ends being stretched into a monotonous gurgle.

speak half as fast as the micro machines commercial guy from the 80's, twice as fast as ben stein, and try not to sound like butthead or max headroom.

Doesn't it work with any headset? So if you have a reeealy good headset you can get great quality? (You could even presumably rig a decent mic up to function as a USB headset somehow if you were clever...)

I don't like the new look of the notes.

Me either; the old ones were clean and stood out, while these new ones look a little more artsy and are harder to see when you have a complicated circuit.

1.04 is out this morning. It's only 36 megs and the only fix that I can see currently is that the marquees are back when selecting/capturing items.2010-12-10 17:34:00
