12-11-2010 VGA - Your 10 games prediction

Archive: 8 posts

VGA is coming in 2 weeks, and I think that no one cares about the Awards but we're all waiting for new announcements.
10 of them!

We already know something...
Updated to 11/26th

1-Sony - Uncharted 3 (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/22/rumour-uncharted-3-to-get-vga-reveal/)
2-EA - A game from Bioware (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/20/sony-russia-biowares-vga-reveal-to-be-mass-effect-3/), maybe Mass Effect 3
3-Activision will show this (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/26/activision-teases-murder-your-maker-for-vgas/)
4-Capcom - Resident Evil spin off or 6 as inted here (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/25/new-spike-teaser-drops-mega-hint-new-resident-evil-incoming/) ?
5-Sega - Bayonetta 2 announcement??? (http://vgtribune.com/bayonetta-2-twitter/)
6-Bethesda - New Oblivion
7-THQ - The Guillermo Del Toro game (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/09/thq-guillermo-del-toros-game-to-get-first-showing-during-next-months-vgas/)
8-Microsoft - something Kinect related
9-Nintendo - aww something I won't like anyway
10-Ubisoft - some new IP
11- Batman: Arkham City (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/17/batman-arkham-city-gets-vga-world-premiere/)

But something may be wrong.
What's your ten picks?
You don't have to pick a title, you can even name a studio set for a reveal.

I personally hope for a new SSX game.
And I think Bioware title won't be Mass Effect

News on Batman: Arkham city is welcome. Anything from Bioware is sure to please. The surprise PS3 exclusive will probably be UC3 but I wouldn't mind a Crash Bandicoot reboot. Bethesda has already confirmed a direct sequel to Oblivion (one of my top 10 favorite games of all time) so hopefully there will be some footage of that. I would be happy if Valve announced ports of the L4D franchise for PS3, one of only three 360 franchises I wish were on the PS3 (Halo is not one of them lol). More news on Metal Gear: Rising is welcome. A release date for No More Heroes PS3 is needed, I can hardly wait to slice and dice with my MOVE controller. More character reveals for Mortal Kombat and MvsC 3 would be great too. Let's see what happens 2010-11-24 10:44:00

And now it seems that one of the announcement will be a Resident Evil.

I think that every major publisher will show a game

1-Sony - Uncharted 3 (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/22/rumour-uncharted-3-to-get-vga-reveal/)
2-EA - A game from Bioware (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/20/sony-russia-biowares-vga-reveal-to-be-mass-effect-3/), maybe Mass Effect 3
3-Activision will show this (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/26/activision-teases-murder-your-maker-for-vgas/)
4-Capcom - Resident Evil spin off or 6 as inted here (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/25/new-spike-teaser-drops-mega-hint-new-resident-evil-incoming/) ?
5-Sega - Bayonetta 2 announcement??? (http://vgtribune.com/bayonetta-2-twitter/)
6-Bethesda - New Oblivion
7-THQ - The Guillermo Del Toro game (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/09/thq-guillermo-del-toros-game-to-get-first-showing-during-next-months-vgas/)

10-Ubisoft - some new IP
11- Batman: Arkham City (http://www.vg247.com/2010/11/17/batman-arkham-city-gets-vga-world-premiere/)

I think that this VGA is taking much importance in the eyes of publishers.

Mmmmm, Resident Evil news sounds tasty! I have owned every main entry in the series and even bought Code Veronica on Dreamcast lol. Could RE6 be the PS3 exclusive??? Nope, that would be UC3. Either way it's good news 2010-11-26 11:13:00

Little rant...
I thought about your Resi exclusive idea...
Japanese devs still hadn't understood how much ditching Sony and PS3 a bit has hurted them.
Keeping with Sony would have made both them and Sony stronger, while now their grasping for breath.

Back to VGA, if they release all the trailers at the end of the show rapid fire way, they'll blast everything.
Anyway, everytime there's some game unveiling up in the air I am curious as a 11 year old kid

I agree that in the grand scheme of things Capcom should have stayed loyal to Sony. The RE franchise was born on the Playstation platform and without it would not have become the global blockbuster that it is today. Anyway, I am just happy with the prospect of a new RE game.

One more (possible) prediction. IF the PS3 exclusive is NOT UC3 then I think it could be "Spacehawk" as a sequel to Warhawk. I don't know about anyone else but this would make me VERY happy. I have sunk 200+ hours into Warhawk making it my most played game of all time (after LBP but just slightly). There would be countless possibilities with a game like this. Planetary invasion, 100+ players per game, all kinds of insane space vehicles and weapons, different races to battle as. I am drooling just thinking of the possibilities
