I'll definately play it and give you feedback!

EDIT:

Okay, wow.

Corner edit was beautiful and the boss battle was great.
The bones were all perfectly placed!
I hated the Bat Wing becasue I kept being wasted by it.
The Concept of this level was epic.
The overall feel of this level was Bossy Battle-ish Blitzy!

One problem though.

The minute Everything dissolved I plopped right into the soup.

Guess my rating....Alright fine, you got me!
5 :star::star::star::star::star: and 1 <3

When I finished this level I felt disapointed.
Not in you, in myself.
You made this awesome boss battle and I made a barely passing one.
This level is definately going to win a sticker.

Enjoy your sticker, WINNER!

@The-Questor: Thank you so much for the feedback T-Q! I'm glad you liked it. The bat wing can be a bit mean, it seems to fall a bit faster than the others, and sometimes the skull floats away from the other bones at just the wrong time ;p A bit of luck is definitely at play here.

Sorry about falling into the soup at the end! The brew is supposed to disappear at the exact same moment of the bones, but there is a small lag spike at the end there, I wouldn't be surprised if the dissolve timing gets a little messed up at that moment. T_T

I'm really glad you liked the concept, I had the idea for it many months ago but didn't know nearly enough about logic to put anything like it together. The BBB contest reminded me of the idea, and this time I thought "hmmm... it might be possible!" I was a little worried it would be tedious, but that's probably because by the time I published it I had playtested it about a thousand times and knew the sequence by heart XD

Again, thank you so much for the kind words, and good luck to you in the contest T-Q! I'll definitely check out your entry

@himoks: I hope you enjoy it himoks! Beware- it gets faster with each thread you snag. I'd love to hear what you think of it!

@RP: I know, but sometimes it seems biased to me but, ya'know, whatever.
I think the level is just plain better.

I.e: It's like comparing a jeffcu28 level to a no name creator.

not really questor. I got 3rd in the flying contraption contest, beating ali and nightangel. Me and Napero are pretty much no-name creators, and we won, but were both working on stuff to change that. For me, just wait for lbp2... :wink:2010-11-24 05:05:00

Hi, SeekingTruth86!

Great mini game with boss! I love main idea and visuals! Good gameplay, sometimes it is a little difficult to jump from one island to another, but it is part of gameplay, am I right ? Great story also!

A can take pictures for you! But just tomorrow, is it ok? I will send you them in PM.

Good to see some new your creation!

Good Luck, Domik12.

Wow, great job! This is for sure one of the best boss battles I played! The gameplay was very smooth, the graphics were incredible, and the story was awesome! One last thing, one of the hardest things to ace in a boss battle is making a good intro to it, and your intro to the level was definitely one of the best to a boss battle I've ever seen. No doubt you'll get at least a spotlight nod and win the lb boffin sticker. Hope you enjoy it, they're great!
I gave you :star::star::star::star:<3.

Actually, they're isn't a 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th. Only winning and losing.
So technically you didn't beat ali and nightangel you just won with them.

@SeekingTruth86: Sorry for taking your level thread a little off-topic.
So, you're probably going to win because this level was awesome, If I don't win I'll be happy to know I lost to a guy who made a level this epic.

EDIT:
I hope you win a sticker SeekingTruth86, because you deserve one. Your boss fight was unique and different from the rest.
We all did mutants, and giants, while you did Soup! Good Job!

@Domik: Hey Domik, thanks for checking out my level! I'm glad you liked it! And yeah, I wanted it to be a little difficult to ace the level- it's certainly possible, but you gotta stay on your toes and make some big leaps back and forth to do it ^_^ And thank you so much for the (impending) screenshots! You've never let me down with those

@ricky3: Thanks for the feedback ricky3! That's awesome to hear! I'm super glad you liked the intro, I had a few different versions I went through 'till I found one I liked. And if you like the environment... who knows, Sackboy may yet return to the haunted bayou for some more traditional exploring someday Again thank you so much for checking out the level and taking the time to leave feedback!

@T-Q: Aww It's okay ^_^ Thanks for the encouragement! I hope you snag a sticker too

Hey ST! I played your level and I'm ready to feedback!

I thought the boss battle was really entertaining. It was different from all the other boss battles I've seen. What I really liked was how the doctor chanted all the threats and attacks; it gave the level a sense of authority and power.

The visuals were nothing short of outstanding! I liked the design and the pot of brew boiling beneath you. Even the logo was amazing!

The only problem I faced was being spawn-killed. I either revived to get killed by an incoming attack and/or fall into the brew. It's nothing too serious, but it does get annoying to be spawn-killed 3 times in a row, thus making you lose a heavy amount of points.

Overall, :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3. Excellent job!

Peace

@CyberSora: Thanks for the feedback CyberSora! It's good to see ya!

I'm glad you liked it I am pretty proud of the attack callouts ^_^ It's always so exciting to see complicated contraptions run smoothly

Sorry bout the spawn killing thing, it can be a bit brutal at times, what with the skull in the middle floating every which way once you get things going. If only I could make everything pause for those 1.5 seconds of spawn time... There is one solution, though... don't die! (not the best answer I know ) Hehe.

Thanks again for playing, I really appreciate the feedback!

Hey Buddy!!

Congratulations on another spotlight. This was a great level. Taffey was right, it's like a boss fight and a survival challenge all in one. I was so excited to see this on the community moon the other day. It seems like it has been forever that you published something. From the very beginning, my eyes were treated to your amazing visuals. Your eye for detail is second to none. My first playthrough I died alot. But not because it was overly difficult, but just because I was mesmerized by the atmosphere you created.

You nailed the cajun accent perfectly. I have some family from that part of the states, and you did it perfectly. I also loved the simplicity of Dr. Voodoo. There was not much to him at first glance, but the simple elegance of it was perfect, and it just really clicked with me.

Anyway, I am so glad you are back here, and I look forward to the next chapter of Onerios.

A fan for life.....

@valmassoi: Can't wait to hear what you think ;-)

@unXpectiD: Thanks for the feedback man! Thanks for trying to escape the camera, good to know that ya can't ^_^ I'm glad you like the bone's floating movement! I really wanted it to seem natural :-)

@VelcroJonze: JONZE!! Thanks for the nice feedback! It has been a while, 6 months or so. RL got all crazy and I had to put down the PSP for a while T_T But then everything worked out and I could pick it up again :-D Regarding the accent, thanks a ton! That's an amazing compliment :-) I'm glad I was able to nail it- since there's not much time to develop him as a character(in this level... ahem), I felt those two intro text bubbles were important.

Thanks again for the awesome feedback VJ! You're awesome! And I'm still addicted to your levels. You've always been an inspiration to me, and to bubble-chaining platformers everywhere! :-D

Grats on your spotlight too! That was definitely the funnest prologue ever

Hey I played this. Very interesting level, not what I expected. It's like a survival challenge, but it's not. It's like a bubble collecting level, but not. Know what I mean? Your creating skills really showed in the level, and it was very fun. The whole idea of a sort of "potion" was very ingenious, and you executed it perfectly. :star::star::star::star::star:<3

I couldn't help but notice I'm on your hearted creators list, thanks!! You made my day

@valmassoi: Hey man thanks so much for the feedback! Haha I totally know what you mean with it being one thing but not! When I first had this idea months ago it WAS more of a survival challenge (in my head), but if it was going to be a boss fight I didn't want the player to just get one life to get through the whole battle- and with bubble emitters on a timer triggered by grabbing thread of sack, I think there's a fair bit of strategy there for high-score hunters (At least two people have figured out the 1337 strat, I'm not #1 on the scoreboard anymore ;D)

And of course I have you hearted! Your Bubbly series are just as addicting as VJ's levels- I have a soft spot in my heart for pretty levels with lovely combos(And your Patapon level demonstrates some fantastic corner editing skillz!). I look forward to the next one from you Valmassoi! ;D

Thanks again for the feedback bro!

@himoks: Thank for coming back to leave feedback man! That post really made my day, I'm really glad you like it himoks! Sorry it took so long for me to reply- I've been busy with my full time job... aaaaand workin' on another LBP project when I'm not at work...

You'll definitely see at least one more level from me within the next month or so barring any more RL madness

(Oh, and there seems to be a minor issue with the level... it ran great during all my tests, but for some reason in the published version Dr. Voodoo occasionally misses a random warning shout. My deepest apologies for this, I hope it doesn't hamper anyone's enjoyment too much ^_^; )

I played this a bit earlier today so I don't remember everything about it but I do remember it being very good. I haven't been very active on the forums so I went in expecting a full level but this was a nice change after playing all the other stuff I downloaded.

This was definitely among the most in depth boss fights I've ever seen on the PSP, but to be honest it felt a bit like a limited-round survival challenge as there was really no interaction with the voodoo guy himself. Would have been cool maybe to have a short battle with him at the end after the three threads were collected. Of course that's easy for me to say; I bet you put a lot of effort into getting this to work smoothly.

There were times when the platforms moved to far apart to be reached, but I guess that adds a level of difficulty and could be avoided with a bit of platforming skill which I lack.

I also would have liked to have seen this incorporated into an actual level, but it seems this level was made as a contest entry so that's cool.

Anyway, sorry if that made it sound like I didn't like the level--on the contrary, I thought it was very good, definitely deserving the win and the spotlight (congratz btw)--but I'm just trying to help.
