Stop sackboy "phasing" through solid objects?

How do I stop sackboy "phasing" through solid objects?

I have a standard platforming section, but to mix it up a little, the whole section is moving up/down on a flipper piston.
(It slowly raises then drops down quickly over and over)

The problem I'm having is sackboy kind of phases through the platform above.
X = platform
Numbers = sequence

0 3
o X
2 1
X X

So instead of the player going from 1 to 2 to 3, they can skip 2 completely, by "phasing through" from 1 to 3.
I tried increasing the time of the piston, but that didn't help at all.

What are my options?

I'd say don't use the flipper setting. It's probably pushing the upper platform right through the player.2010-11-22 10:21:00

That's exactly what's happening.
However the flipper setting is what makes the gameplay interesting.

Is there any way around it?

You could try to rig a variable speed piston so that in stead of flipping, you just move really fast when going downwards. For instance, set up a winch to override the piston and pull down the platform. Set them up like this:

The winch should have steeper angles, but there's no extra steep slash or backslash.

Have you ever seen the timer logic in the logic pack? just turn it on it side.
Hook up both one piston and one wintch. Set both to the distence you want. Leave the stranth of the winch alone. Weaken the piston just so the winch can "override" it. (turn down the stranth in the tweak, if anyone does not know) so that the wintch can pull in the pistion faster. To tweak the speed going up, tweak the piston, to tweak the speed going down tweak the wintch. You can use a moded delay switch so that it goes .01 and tweek the pause. Tweak it to </> not on/off

Exactly what was posted above, use the quick-reset timer from the logic pack, but just turn it sideways (I don't actually mean go and get that switch, just use the mechanic of it. Rogar had it, just use the winch and a piston, with the piston set to a lower strength. Se the piston to whatever speed you want the block to drop at, .2 or .3 should probably be slow enough, I think the flipper setting causes it to drop at .1, which is where "phasing" occurs, even with materials.2010-11-23 06:05:00
