Sony is making a PSP 2 that rivals the XBOX 360 in horsepower. That would be enough power for a portable LBP2. discuss

i dont think they will make one due to the fact lbp psp took all the power of the psp to be possiable making a number 2 will make it explode (Not literaly) but it would be to hard for the psp to handle. edit: my bad i woke up from a nap and wrote all this so don't be offended by what i wrote.

Sony is making a PSP 2 that rivals the XBOX 360 in horsepower. Unsurprising, I could make a paper plane with more horsepower than an XBOX. Anyway, before I start a flame war over a joke, I think this would be excellent. From what i've seen, the PSP2 is basically a PS3 controller with a screen in the middle, making it ideal for creating, which as far as i'm aware was a major flaw of the PSP LBP. I'd be interested to see if this happens, and would definitely buy it if I had the chance.

BUMP I think this is highly likely, and furthermore... probably going to happen, why? LBP is one of Sony's biggest franchises, and would be a perfect way to shgow everyone what the psp2 is capable of, causing more hype, and hopefully having developers flock away from the 3ds. what i would imagine would be a mixc between LBP1 and LBP2 on the small screen... like this -creatinator (with less buttons of course, but still very good) -grabinator -multiplayer, with built in voice chat using the mic -lbp.me integration -grappling hook -level links (maybe) -download lvls, OR play them online -Sackbots(not sure if this is possible) and of course, some other feaures i'm sure you'll all think off... but ask yourself this. Is there a better franchise that could make the psp2 a hit? not really. you could just sit down in a coffee shop, downlaod a lvl or two, then when you get back home, play it online with your psn friends. and if you want too, you could play with firends in the same room, assuming one of you downloaded the level, the other person can get the level after you are both done, if they want to play it in a car ride. this sounds awesome right? i'm sure it sounds like the perfect hook for the psp2 to sony, which is why i'd anticipate it.

I think if it does happen, it wouldn't be a simple port, but like LBP PSP a new game with most of it's dad's features, so a slightly watered down but still awesome version of LBP2, with all the good things about the first LBP PSP and a new storyline.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble everyone but... It aint gonna happen, the PSP isnt good enough for full data transfer online from one different game to another, I dont know about the PSP2, I hear its in production but i just dont believe that a handheld console will be able to hold enough processing power.... Sorry Guys

The PSP2 is (almost) certainly on the way.. And by the time it releases I think it would be just about time for a new Portable LBP. LBP PSP was a great game, but it felt a tad limited and the full experience felt 'just' out of reach due to the PSP's hardware. But with the PSP2, I think we'll have everything we dreamed about having in the first, and more! Cant wait .

Just a problem... PSP2 is a rumor too. Well no since it IS going to happen and it has been announced that it will more than likely (99%) chance will be revealed on January 27th at some conference (can't remember the name right now) and will be released Q4 (meaning the last 3 months of the year). ^That's for the PSP2 I don't know anything about LBP PSP 2 that is all just rumors still but it would ONLY be possible on the PSP2 at least and not the current PSP.

The PSP2 is due and has been for awhile now and with the upcoming release of the 3DS it's a must for Sony. So saying it's just a rumor IS true, but the last time this happened with the PSP Go, they said it would be revealed at a certain conference and it was, and this one has a date AND a location: Tokyo.

Well LBPPSP could in theory could be ported over to ps2 as other games such as a few gta games, but this could leave out the create side of the game though

Also, having 1/2 the processing power of a PS3 (I'm pretty sure it said the same, 1/2 is more likely) basically means the graphics will just as good as a PS3. If there's a smaller screen the graphics look just like they would on a big screen but it doesn't require as much power to recreate. Fingers crossed this thing lives up to the hype

pixel size. if i got an old games machine and gave it the prosessing power of my ps3, it would still have rubbish grafics because the pixels are not small enough to do any better. unless sony can magic up a way of mass producing pixels that small i doubt the graphics are going to get much better. ps if it were as powerfull as you belive then the us government would be pre ordering a crate load of psp2s

If Sony doesn't launch this through say a cell phone carrier or another 3G/4G internet provider, how will they make us pay for their 3G? Would they make us pay for PSN? (doubt it) Or would it just come with the system? (which will probably be priced around $250 - $300 US. (maybe more)
