Okay, I guess I have to explain a bit first. My brother bought our PS3 when he was in Japan with my sister, along with one of these wireless keypads from Sony you can attach to your controller. Whenever I type while the onscreen keyboard is visible, it types properly, however, whenever I try to type while the onscreen keyboard isn't visible, it starts typing japanese letters. I guess it's because the keypad is from Japan, but I'm still curious if I could do something to make it work 'properly'. Thanks in advance.

Try to get on system settings or somewhere on the settings for keyboard on the PS3, there is another hidden option to change the keyboard region, hope it helps!

Okay, I found something under 'Accessory Settings' called 'Keyboard Type'. I tried to set it to 'Japanese Keyboard' because it was already set to 'German Keyboard'... but it didn't work. It's still typing japanese. I think I'm going to try out the English one now... EDIT: Nevermind, it's still not working. I'm going to connect my USB keyboard with the PS3 later. EDIT02: My german USB keyboard works fine... I think it's some issue with the keypad. Duh.
