Moving Conveyor Belt/ floating alien thingies

Archive: 3 posts

Ok, in my current level, I need to have alien thingies in their flying saucers above the ground, although I'm using my impersonation of a Highway. ANYWAY, I need to make it so that the flying saucers are above the playing field, so that they are floating around up there dropping fire thingies or something.

So, I've tried making it so that there was darkmatter up there, and a moving polyestrane thing for the conveyor belt- but first off, that didn't work- second off, having it above the darkmatter would mean the strings or whatever connecting it to the UFOs would probably be tangled in the Dark Matter, and having it below would require it to either be glued to the dark matter, which would take away the conveyor belt aspect, or connected with a rod, which might make it impossible to do somehow.

Anyway, my basic question is this: does anyone know of a good way to do this, and if so either tell me, or build it for me (Yeah, do my work for me >_>), so... yeah.

Does this make sense? I could explain it MORE if you like...

You could focus on getting the UFOs moving around before you add the lasers or fire dropping to it. You could make the UFOs a thin layer at the front first of all. Maybe attach it to that floaty stuff and try to make it all balance out and move along from thrust from a rocket that could switch off before it goes on the screen via a sensor. You could then time fire dropping behind all of the UFOs as they go past.

Would explain better but I have an essay to finish.

Hm, an idea just popped into my head- going upstairs to see if that works.

Well, that idea don't work...
