It was the cabin of a plane, and they crashed in the woods....I know many riddles | 2010-11-19 01:17:00 Author: MrFunctionality ![]() Posts: 637 |
Hope this isn't considered derailing. It's still on topic so here goes: A father and son are in a car crash. The father dies and the son is rushed to the hospital where the doctor there says "I cannot treat this boy, this boy is my son". Who is the doctor? | 2010-11-19 01:20:00 Author: KILLA_TODDZILLA ![]() Posts: 653 |

This riddle has been told for a long time, to illustrate how common gender stereotypes are in our society. | 2010-11-19 01:24:00 Author: MrFunctionality ![]() Posts: 637 |

I still think I'm right, clearly the pilots seat had a poison thumb tack on it too and when he died the plane crashed. Think about it, how often does a plane crash in the woods? | 2010-11-19 01:59:00 Author: SeanyC-SeanyDo ![]() Posts: 115 |
I have a book of 1000 "play-thinks", I'll pop out a few riddles and play-thinks... 638-1. How can you build a house that has a window in all four walls but every window faces south? 641-2. Many years ago a man married the sister of his widow. How did he do it? 635-3. Madame M. decided to buy a parrot to keep her company. But she wanted one that talked. "Does this parrot speak?" Madame M. asked the pet store clerk. The clerk was unequivocal. "This parrot," he said, "repeats every word he hears." That convinced Madame M. to buy the bird. But after trying to teach the parrot to speak, she never heard a word of him. Was the clerk lying? 653-4. An old wartime story describes a sailor who, during a pitched battle, put his head through a hole made in the side of his ship by an enemy shell. His theory was that the odds of another shell landing in exactly the same spot should be exceedingly small. Was his reasoning correct? (Regardless of him being alive.) 661-5. What is the only sure way to win at roulette? 789-6. Do astronauts on the moon weight the same as they do on the Earth? 806-7. Can you work out how to pour exactly half a mug of coffee from a mug filled to the brim? I just read the answers and some of them aren't so explanational...(They seem like silly answers.) But not all of them are like that. ![]() | 2010-11-19 02:31:00 Author: warlord_evil ![]() Posts: 4193 |
789-6 No, their weight changes, their mass remains the same. 806-7 Tilt it so that the coffee reaches from the bottom edge of the open end, to the top of the closed end of the mug. 635-3 The parrot was deaf. 638-1 Build it on the North Pole. These are old, but still fun. | 2010-11-19 02:42:00 Author: iBubek ![]() Posts: 682 |
These are old. Thank you for your kind comment. :kz: However I suppose they are old, but it may be that any riddle there may be, has at least not been heard by someone, so give someone else a chance before spilling the beans. Here's one: There are several of me, there are one of me. I am not, but am the only one that's me. I may be, I may not be, but I am. I was, is, and will be. I will forever be, but will not truelly be, for I have to be. You will know, you will never know, who and what I am. I am there, I am gone, I am in-between. I'm everywhere and anywhere, I'm not there at all and never will be. And I'm in this very room. (It's rather simple.) | 2010-11-21 05:53:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack ![]() Posts: 5757 |

How did they die?... -------------------- Here are some possible reasons: 1. They all took part in a group suicide, most likely with poison or some other kind of deadly substance. 2. One of them left the car on, and they all died from carbon monoxide poisoning just from having a group discussion. 3. One guy takes out a gun with exactly 12 bullets and kill all his eleven friends and himself so fast they weren't able to get up in time to get out of the way. 4. They were all old men who didn't want to die alone... 5. They were emo...nuff said... 6. They were all in a dream within a dream within a dream within a dream and they went too far into their subconscious and ended up in limbo with scrambled brains... 7. They all just randomly died for no reason at all... 8. The Terminator... 9. They couldn't accept that LBP2 got delayed and took their own lives... 10. Something... Here's one: There are several of me, there are one of me. I am not, but am the only one that's me. I may be, I may not be, but I am. I was, is, and will be. I have a good riddle. . . I heard this one a long time ago from a kid that used to live in my neighborhood. The answer is a pretty long one and is really hard to figure out =D Okay here it is. You're in a two story house. There is a staircase with a door that you can only see once getting to the top of the stairs. Behind the door is a room with one light bulb. At the bottom of the stairs, there are 3 lightswitches. How do you figure out which of the 3 lightswitches turns on the light if you can only go up the stairs one time to check? Again, you can only go up the stairs one time. Edit: Forgot something. Your alone. Locked in the house. :O | 2010-11-30 04:06:00 Author: iKyle94 ![]() Posts: 60 |

you go upstairs... and get your freind to flick the switches one by one then you tell them when the light is on. you can get them to tell you the position of the switch or go down and see which one they flicked. Haha, nope. No ones gotten the answer yet ![]() Hint: A blind man could do it :O Wait until night time then go up the stairs ONCE to open the door then come back down and try the switches until u notice a glow? That wouldn't work because you can't see anything coming out of the door from the bottom of the stairs. Imagine it being like around a corner :O | 2010-12-01 01:35:00 Author: iKyle94 ![]() Posts: 60 |

Locked in the house. :O You turn on 2 of the lights and after you wait a while turn off one of those lights and leave the other one on. You then go into the room where the lights are and you'll see one is on, so you know that switch. You can figure out which switches relates to the other 2 lights because the one you left on then turned off would still be warm. ![]() | 2010-12-01 01:41:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |

You then go into the room where the lights are and you'll see one is on, so you know that switch. You can figure out which switches relates to the other 2 lights because the one you left on then turned off would still be warm.![]() Wow you actually got it :O Have you heard it before? Haha While the answer isn't straight forward thats the right answer haha. And to answer why you can't flick on all 3 switches is because the point of the riddle is to find out the individual switch that turns it on. Edit: The real answer is more like: Turn on the first switch and leave it on for a long time, then turn it off. Turn on the second switch, leave it on for a few minutes then turn it off. Run up the stairs and feel the light bulb. If it's hot its the first switch, if it's warm it's the second switch, and if it's cold it's the third switch =) | 2010-12-01 01:52:00 Author: iKyle94 ![]() Posts: 60 |

When I was still in school I would always end up talking about riddles with my friend during maths. Probably should have been working but oh well. EDIT: Here's a puzzle I've always just called 9 Dots. http://www.abwag.com/images/nine_dots_puzzle.gif Draw through all the dots with four straight continuous lines without lifting up your pencil. http://www.abwag.com/images/nine_dots_answer.gif | 2010-12-01 01:56:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
In fifth grade, every day our teacher would give us a new riddle, and they were all really fun, clever ones. A shame I can't remember any of them though. Here's an easy one I heard from a friend a while back, but you've all probably heard it already. You're in a cold, dim room - there's a furnace, a lantern, and a wood-burning stove, but you only have one match - What do you light first? | 2010-12-01 02:00:00 Author: TheZimInvader ![]() Posts: 3149 |

I had a substitute who proved to us all that half of 12 is 7. It was a very convincing argument haha | 2010-12-01 02:13:00 Author: iKyle94 ![]() Posts: 60 |
How'd he prove it? | 2010-12-01 02:15:00 Author: iBubek ![]() Posts: 682 |
How'd he prove it? If you take the roman numeral of 12,XII and cut it in half horizontally, it makes the roman numeral for seven VII xD | 2010-12-01 02:44:00 Author: iKyle94 ![]() Posts: 60 |
Here's one I heard a while back. Some people find it easy and some find it really hard. An Arab sheikh tells his two sons to race their camels to a distant city to see who will inherit his fortune. The one whose camel is slower wins. After wandering aimlessly for days, the brothers ask a wise man for guidance. Upon receiving the advice, they jump on the camels and race to the city as fast as they can. What did the wise man say to them? | 2010-12-01 03:57:00 Author: SR20DETDOG ![]() Posts: 2431 |
