Ashton Chronicles 1: Hidden Water Temple is a hands down stunning level with beauty that is immediately apparent when you enter the level. Typically in a jungle, you have incredible dense foliage and a canopy overhead that hides any glimpse of the sky above it. Here in the Chronicles, you have exactly that. At this point, this is clearly the best replica of any jungle I have seen on LBP. Take a look at the picture below of a jungle in Central America where the Chronicles take place:

Damaz10 clearly had inspiration going forward with his level design and as mentioned Graphically is 5 star material. The jungles canopy is thick as can be as well as the floor you walk on. Streams of water is running throughout this jungle with numerous encounters of small and very large waterfalls. But that's not the only treat you get visually. When you start out, you finally find the lost temple that you, Dr. Issac Ashton, have been searching for. With the introduction of the temple, it is clearly overrun with the jungles growth. From ancient stones to the lush green, you feel as if you just ventured into a long lost temple that's been hidden in the jungle for centuries.

The design of the temple is superb. Materials appear old and rustic and the surrounding actions you can take feel appropriate to its time of existence. Gameplay is another strong point in AC1. The level design does not rely heavily on any one quality for its gameplay. Its a mixture of platforming and puzzles which produce a good balance as you move through the Hidden Water Temple. There is a final boss that you face off with in the temple that is designed very well and has a unique approach in defeating. Again, this method of defeating the boss uses a mechanism that is appropriate to ancient times. There is no paintinator here or the basic 'jump here' approach. It's refreshing to see all elements of gameplay while retaining such a beautiful environment.

Music and Sounds are again 5 star material. Environmental sounds are existent in every portion of the jungle and the temples you go through. Making the atmosphere that much more believable. Sounds of a raging waterfall or the chirp of wildlife, its fantastic. Music is also very good and match the level perfectly and change up to something new on crucial moments. Two thumbs up here.

Final Thoughts: I had an excellent time playing through AC1. It was engaging and not overly difficult. There are times where you have little direction on what to do next, however that is the puzzler within the level. Something that did stand out is the amount of times completed: Only 27 completed (me being included) out of 373 plays. That works out to be a 7% completion ratio. This could be for a number of reasons. First off, this level does not support multiplayer as it releases a handful of glitches and bugs making it so you can NOT complete the level. Secondly, there is a portion where you must grab hold of the side of a wall that moves up and down vertically. The player must release and grab at just the right moments to make there way to the top where your encountered with three switches to activate a conveyor belt. It's purely trial and error to activate the belt. Some individuals may not have the patience or like in my household have the ability to traverse there way up to the conveyor belt.

Ashton Chronicles 1: Hidden Water Temple is a phenomenal level that can only be enjoyed through its full potential if you actually complete it. The replayability exist if you manage to finish the level as you notice just how many artifacts you didnt find giving the incentive to go back and locate more. I dont believe there is any coincidence that there are 27 completions and 26 hearts.

I completed the level, so naturally, I rated this 5 Stars and a heart
However, for the sake of the review and the very small hiccups, I rate this :star::star::star::star: 1/2 Stars.

Thanks for reading the Review!!

Dude! Thanks for the awesome review! It addressed some issues like not being completely multiplayer-friendly. I'll put a link in the level thread to this review and thanks again for taking the time to write this great review. I would'nt go as far as saying that my level is the best in-game jungle level as there are so many undiscovered levels out there but I enjoyed reading what you liked about the level and a thankful for the heart. I am thinking of asking you to review the next level I'm coming out with, I think you'll enjoy it as much as Ashton Chronicles 1 Thanks a ton dude, your reviews are very thorough and precise, made me all gushy inside, especially since my mom got to it and read it for me in a announcer type voice.
EDIT: Just realized a little typo, my psn is damaz10, not Damaz10, don't want people getting confused

As for capitalizing your name, its just habit and proper I suppose. When you search the PSN, it seemed not to matter but then again, I doubt I capitalized it in the search...

I would also be happy to review your level when its completed, can't wait to see more of it!

Nice review.
I didn't have a close look at the level stats but I totally agree with this part:

I dont believe there is any coincidence that there are 27 completions and 26 hearts.
It's a great level, especially for "more experienced" players who manage to complete it.
