The Target ZoneRossMurphy91
1-4 Player Minigame
:starescription:star:

Set in an alien target shooting facility, you (and your friends) have to compete for the high score in this minigame of skillful agility and accuracy.

:star:Objective:star:

To shoot the green targets when they make themselves available to get the highest score possible and to avoid the dangerous plasma obstacles that come your way along the conveyer belt. Survival is one thing, a great shot is another.

:staresign:star: (only read this if you're interested in the different concepts used in the game)

This was alot more difficult to make than my first minigame, The Yum Food Factory (the link is at the bottom), as there was alot more logic required to get this to work the way I desired. I began by making the conveyer belt which the player would stand on, and eventually where the obstacles would begin to spawn. Once I had the various motors and switches in places it was time to begin the spawning of different platforms which had the obstacles on them. This was a bit more difficult as I needed to make the platforms random aswell as keep them close together and consistent. To do this I used a random logic setup which triggers the different active emitters hundreds of times a second, to select one at random to be the next platform on the conveyer belt. The targets were fairly straight forward to design and I stuck with a basic theme and pre-minigame area to conserve both time and thermometer space. As a lot more work went into this level I would say it was more satisfying to make than my previous minigame.

Anyway, give it a shot and let me know what you think! The links to my other minigames are here:

Great idea and love the back ground. Things to improve:
I would make the space of play a bit bigger,
try emitting or moving targets
and maybe when you die you could set the spawn location to the scoreboard by linking a motion sensor to it.
Over all great idea and a good bit of fun =)
