Exclusive Interviews with Spark151, Fastbro & CyberSora

Archive: 9 posts

Lets start of with a nice juicy video:

Now, it's time for wonderful, 'Sack-Tastic', 'Frostbitten''Yeti' from 'Tiki Island'.... FASTBRO!

1. What can you say about your upcoming level in the 12 Days of Christmas?

Well, I don't want to spill the beans on anything yet... But I can reveal that it'll be a survival challenge (quite similar to Frostbite) and it will be set in a mine. As it won't a be a full fledged level I'm going over the top with visuals which is fun!

2. Can we expect to see any more posters for Kindred in the near future?

Yes, there will be at least two more. (Eventually...) Though I urge you to look more closely at the 3 already out. You may discover more about them...

3. Are you waiting for any particular creators to publish levels?

Well, I REALLY want to see another Jeffcu masterpiece! And a new AFP RPG would really put a smile on my face!

4. A slightly peculiar question: Do you ever play levels on the 'Newest Levels' page? Or do you stick to levels advertised on LBPC?

I play levels on the Newest Page from time to time when I'm bored... (Though I have yet to find a decent one on there!)

5. What would be in your Ultimate Sandwich?

Ultimate you say? Well I'd say grenades, photos of Chuck Norris and a disc of lbp... Oh wait, you mean EDIBLE? I'd have to go with Chicken & Stuffing. It doesn't sound very exciting, but it's deeeeelicious!

Thank you very much for that interview Dr. Fastbro!

Last but not least it's.......

The 'LAZEEERRR FIRING' CyberSora!

Why did you choose the boss you chose in Shoop-Da-Woop?

I think I've already explained this before, but I guess I can add a little more detail to the story.

The level was originally a joke for the Community Chessboard 4 thread (by the way, we finished it! Thank you for helping PSP’ers!), where I felt that Shoop Da Whoop should be added on the board. So I added him, but at the time me, BlueBulletBill, and OneEyedBanshee were having a war. When B3 fled left, I took it upon myself to go after OEB and finish the war with him. Man, did he deliver! In an artistic view, OEB had more skills with the digital paint brush than I did. But of course, the other contributers wanted in. It got to a point where we had random memes showing up on the board, with Shoop Da Whoop topping the meme count with 3-4 appearances himself (it is a he, right?).

Anyways, I wanted to get back at OEB for making his Shoop Da Whoop better after I made mine. So, feeling a little showed up, I went into Create Mode, decided to make a boss battle with Shoop Da Whoop (of course), and voila! One awesome boss battle ready for play!

How long have you been with LBP?

Since its release. Well, I mean since its beta was released. I’ve been following it for a long time, since they announced it, to be exact. It wasn’t until last year (August 2009) that I finally gave in to LBPC’s neat advertisements in the Community levels. After Google searching the name, I found the site during its early stages and joined the Community.

What effect do you think Kindred will have on the community? Do you reckon more people will do community levels etc.?

Kindred will definitely affect the Community, one way or another. It’ll give players those moments of “How did they do that!?” and of course we’re hoping that these moments will inspire them to make levels with these type of reactions. Oh, and Hoarder is most likely going to affect the Community through beatings, but knowing you guys, you’re going to make a fan club just for him.

As for people making more levels, I think it’s safe to say that the Community will never cease to amaze us with their never ending imagination.

You may have noticed that over on LittleBigLand, a creator named Butter-kicker has started a Community Project to rival Kindred. What do you think about this?

To be honest, I’m glad (s)he is doing this! I was impressed we got a huge response from the Community when the project was announced. And getting Tweeted and PS Blogged was amazing. But having another project started just so it can “compete” against us was just icing on the cake. I love projects, so knowing that someone decided to make a Kindred rival project was enough to put a smile on my face.

What DLC would you like to see in the future?

This is a tough one. Updates don’t count, right?

My choice will probably be between a Music Pack or a....

Wait for it....

Kindred Pack! I was never fond of the packs that are available, and the [Kindred] team has talked about asking for a Kindred DLC Pack (with no luck). So I would like to see Kindred’s own DLC to be in the PS Store, because the series itself has everything anybody can ask for: jungles, cities, castles… oh wait, am I revealing too much?

*Grins.*

When do you think you will have another level on the Community Moon?

This is a tough one. I have a lot of levels begging to be finished on My Moon, but I always drop them because I change interest so quickly; Shoop Da Whoop being one of them. It would’ve gone unnoticed if the LittleBigBoffin contest hadn’t caught my eyes.

So, seeing that my last level was published a year ago, thus making my publishing pattern to be a one year thing, expect another level from me in 2011!

What would be in your Ultimate Sandwich?

Realistic: Everything that’s available to put on a sandwich from Subway!
Unrealistic: A McRib sandwich… glazed with Chuck Norris’s tears.

Thank you very much for this interview Cyber!

That sounds like a tasty sandwich, Fastbro. The chicken & stuffing, not the Chuck Norris. 2010-11-14 19:22:00
