The Hunt for Minigames...

Archive: 9 posts

Hello Central. My name is The_Jump_Doctor, and in all my days as a community member of LittleBigPlanet, I have always enjoyed playing a good survival or score challenge. But in the last 6 months, It has become nearly impossible for me to find any type of minigame worth playing. I would search 'survival' and my screen would be filled with icons of explosions and bombs. Nearly HALF of them are copies of that 'Desert Bomb Survival' level that people cant seem to stop copying. So a couple days ago I said. "Somebody needs to create some sort of roadway to the creative, fun challenges." and then it occured to me. I WILL DO IT! So I began the painful, time consuming search for the diamonds in the rough. Let me first say, that the ones I have found up to this point were very rare...its a shame really...but they exist! Many of these levels were not published recently and most of those have not gotten the attention the deserve. It was like trying to find a piece of hay in a needle stack..bomb, hotel, train, shark, floaty and jump survivals coupled with R1 races that are all horribly made clogging up the search pages...it was bad...but I had the joy of finding good ones every now and then. But dont be fooled...my search for those good ol challenges is nowhere near over. I'm still actively searching, playing, rating and hearting. Now I want YOU *points finger* TO JOIN ME IN THE SEARCH! Now I know what you're thinking.."Nuclearfish and Steve_Big_Guns...DUH!" and yes while I must say they got some grade A stuff...I've played all their stuff...and so has everybody else. I'm tired of playing their levels..and Im tired of thinking that they're the only ones capable of creating a worthwhile minigame. If you know of any survivals or score challenges that are really worth playing..please share them. I will look at them and add them to my hearted page if I think they're good. If you want to see the levels I've found..(not a HUGE amount but I'm workin on it)..Check out my hearted levels @The_Jump_Doctor. Or if you want to have some info about levels before you play..Check my blog...I hope you guys at LBPC join me. Thanks for reading2010-11-14 16:55:00

Dude I had the same felling hit me a while back but I discovered an awesome way to find actually good survival levels! Just type in "mmsc" you'll find some hidden gems, the mmsc stands for "mediamolecule survival challenge" these levels are expertly crafted mostly and they do have a "MM" feel to them. When you do search try playing "Liquid's Infinte Level Building Maching" it's pretty awesome I think thats the name of it, the level badge is red with yellow lettering "MMSC MGS"2010-11-16 16:34:00
