The Lbp2 BETA will NOT Expire!

Archive: 11 posts

If you're wondering if your BETA is going to expire sometime soon, don't worry, it's not going to. If you press triangle over the BETA while in the PS Home menu, it will have no Expiration date and the "time left" section will read nothing.

The only expiration date with the BETA was the chance to win a BETA Bug Blaster Costume, it expires 3 weeks after you receive the BETA.

When the actual version of Lbp2 comes out, the BETA will have its servers shut down and memory deleted, so if you're planning on publishing a level, do it quickly!

Have fun in Lbp2!

If you can run the game moon will be for sure, since it's available offline, also Pod decorating. Earth/moon decoration is stored on the server, so no more fancy stuff2010-11-15 14:02:00

This is wrong... You can ignore the 3 weeks time frame mentioned in the beta invite email.
I received my bug-blaster costume one and a half month after the beta had started, so you don't need to worry about this either

No, as I said above, the beta client itself may not have an expiry date, but that does not mean that they can't take it down whenever they want. So don't go expecting the beta to last all the way to LBP2s release date.

It may not expire, but it will still end.

The testing period will end that is.

The servers might be cleared, but probably wont be shut down, as there will always be something new to test at some future date.

Source? LBP1 (OC/W) beta.

Then whats the point of clearing if server will go on?

Servers most likely go down and if there "something new to test" they will turn it back

Oh, okay. Yeah, I know it's unconfirmed for that but even if it doesn't last until around LBP2 comes out, just some more time is still good.

There's already a thread discussing when the beta will end here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=39512-when-will-it-end). No need to start a new thread... again.2010-11-16 01:28:00
