I don't understand...

How come MM can make these really really complex and long levels, but when I try to make a level, the thermometer gets full really really really fast???

I'm currently working on a "Hotel California" level, and I don't know if I'm going to have enough thermometer space left to finish it! grr grr grr This is frustrating. This is only one of my many level ideas, and if its running out here, all my other bigger ideas are screwed! I'm guessing MM had more space for there levels, aka, a bigger thermometer, so to speak, but I was under the impression I'd be able to make levels equally as complex.

Is there something I'm doing that eats up the thermometer space faster? Has anybody run into this? Even levels like "The Azure Palace" are insanely more complicated and more detail than mine, yet mine is almost out of space. I don't get it. grr

any suggestions, help, advice???

Corners

Corners and images I think.. A giant square of something would take barely any space, but a spiral of triangles half the size would take up a lot more space, if you get me?

I imagine Mm had to "cut corners" (Pun intended!) to get their levels down to size. I seen one of the Temples levels and that was only just above halfway (mind you its very squarey). It was the one with the wave at the end.

No they don't. They're all the same.

Here's some tips for making smaller thermometer sizes:

1. Glue to the ground.
2. Don't have so many unglued objects- things with physics take up more space.
3. Don't make large, complex shapes. Use several shapes and glue them together instead.
4. DO NOT USE LOTS OF MATERIALS. Different materials take up the most space.
