Decided on a big fat meh and bought from game, I didn't want any tat so it seems like the best. Here's hoping the preorder stuff comes to psn later down the line eh? Say what? Won't you guys be gifted with free copies with extra goodies? I can't believe MM will have you buy the game from a store. (Half kidding ) Surely all the DLCs will come on PSN, but I think that Sony (I think it's only their fault) have messed up BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG time. That's rather annoying. I'd order from Gamemania, except I can't as I don't have a GSM number to give them (I'm probably the only person who doesn't have a mobile phone yet). Why is Sony making this so unnecessary hard, at this point I don't even know what date the game is released anymore.

Looking at my own country, Holland, this has got to be the sloppiest release ever with release dates shifting, Collectors Edition not coming at all and a mix-up of exclusives (Playstation and BartSmit giving out conflicting info on what they are including in their pre-order). Our only hope is to a) import or b) hope that Sony releases all costumes in the PSN (which at some point is likely seeing as they did the same for the exclusive LBP1 Kratos and Nariko costumes). It just baffles me that Sony is allowing this mess... Sackboy is the closest thing they've got for a mascot, why are they messing up his big sequel!? Then again, they don't really care I guess.

This doesn't sound fair at all. They really screwed it up... By the way, I just noticed something somewhat disturbing on Amazon.fr. Maybe I've missed something, but they say the pre-order bonuses aren't applicable to the CE, but only to the standard edition. You'll get the Cobra costume, Ratchet and also Clank but in this case you won't get the CE (actually the Cobra costume is already included in the CE so if you buy it you'll just miss Ratchet & Clank). I thought I'd get pre-order bonuses by pre-ordering the CE too. It's no big deal, but still, have you noticed a similar thing on other websites?

I think it's not just Amazon.fr, I think all the places where they offer the CE have this.. it's either the CE or the standard version with either Jak & Daxter, or Ratchet & Clank... so yeah... EU CE has 7 costumes, US CE has 11 I think...

Keep in mind that SCEE is divided in countries, for example in Poland we got SCE Poland office and they usually organize localized distribution over country, this also responcible for sony published games. So SCE Netherland might lacking here too. Imo CE might come, LBP is standard metal case CE that SCEE usually do, and i always see them on polish stores

Keep in mind that SCEE is divided in countries, for example in Poland we got SCE Poland office and they usually organize localized distribution over country, this also responcible for sony published games. So SCE Netherland might lacking here too. If the official EU playstation blog has an article on an EU release then I would imagine this would include the EU countries... sadly this isn't the case.

MM and SCEE have FAILED lol I cancelled my CE from GAME and just ordered the normal one from shopto. Its not a CE being sold in EU, its a pre order DLC bonus edition........... which you have to pay extra for. What a joke

The only costume I'm interested in the EU CE is the TRON one. I just ordered the standard edition off Play.com, at least I get the Jak & Daxter costumes with it. Loved those games back on PS2.

more interesting would be to know WHY there is such a (in this case big) difference in CE's. Surely when they were putting this together someone at the table must have realized the difference would raise questions to put it mildly.... I'd like to see SCEE or MM give us a reason why there's a difference and why it's not released everywhere. Who or what makes the decision to go ahead and release the CE in for instance Denmark (no offense) and skip it in Holland and Belgium. Other companies seem to have no problems releasing a special or collector's edition all over the world... even stranger... Sony themselves released the GT5 special editions everywhere but then again, they had a couple of years to figure that release out :S

I'm very confused... I was amazed when i heard 'bout a plushy Sackboy and Bookends are Part of the CE and so i Preordered mine in November as soon as it was available. Then i heard only the US are getting the cool Goodies. I called the Gameshop where i have preordered and they don't even know what's in the CE. So...if there really are 'only' the DLC in my Game, it will be the first and LAST CE i ever get. I don't need a Steelbook. I won't put my Lunch in it and take it to Work, ya know. DLC? I can buy 'em from the Store anyways. Sorry, but i pay 80euros for this Game! The regular Price for a Game in Germany is 'bout 60-65. 20? more? For what?? I got the "D1" Edition of AC:Brotherhood with some nice DLC for 55euros Mass Effect 2 with ALL available dlc included: 60euros Thank you for nothing...

You mean, you preordered the product without checking what was in it? The bookends and plushie were explicitly announced for the NA, with details of EU to follow. The EU announcement never mentioned these items. I don't think you can really complain that you bought a product you didn't want, for 20 euros extra... There is only one person you can blame for that...

Okay so I've got my collectors edition (UK) which including the pre-order delivery cost was ?50. Don't get me wrong, the game is great, but this is the most dissapointing collectors edition I think I've ever received. without even comparing it to the US CE. You get a steelcase which is nice if not a little dull, you open it up you have a code for some costumes which for the most part consist of a body and some face accessories, and a booklet which makes the takeaway menu's that come through my door look like something worth keeping. I have standard version's of games that feel like you're getting more value from them. Up until this the most dissapointing collectors edition I'd got was Arkham Asylum, but at least with that you felt like you were getting your moneys worth of crappy scratched up plastic batarang, this just feels empty. OKay moaning over, i'm going back to loving the game

I went into gamestop to pick up the regular edition when the employee asked me if I wanted the collector's edition. I was hesitant but it was there and then that I actually found out they were selling it WITHOUT the book ends. Shows how much I read the forum prior to release. I never wanted the book ends and the doll but as soon as I saw that metal cover I bought it.

Today he decided to download all the bonuses that the CE provides, and now he's got problems, such as endless loadings that you can't cancel. Downloading the bonuses seems to create bugs. Have you encountered problems too after downloading them, or is it just an isolated example? I couldn't say as I haven't got the game yet... I might as well make a new thread. Thanks!

I might get the CE too, so I think I'll download them all before installing and launching the game for the first time, so that everything will be installed at the same time.

Try signing out of the PSN and play the game offline. At the moment, some simular problems such as endless loadings have also been caused by being signed in.

Thanks, Shadowriver has also suggested ticking the Always Play On My Own option (or something...) so that the game won't search for other players playing the level endlessly (and suggest joining them or playing on your own).
