POD Object Captured in God Mode

Hey all! Turns out someone with the God Glitch was somehow able to actually capture and save our little home away from home... The Pod.

It can be stickered as usual, but that's about it really. It's indestructible from bombs, missiles, and I've even tried the Object Destroyer switch. I personally don't have any major use for it as far as creating levels go (it's more of a novelty for me as I'd rather work on my own creations), but I do have a small project in mind for it that I may throw together.

I don't know who the original guy was that captured it, but it's in a level as a prize by someone named LVE_MSG, who I'm guessing got it from whomever glitched it to begin with.

I've attached a few photos from my IPhone, and shot some video of it that I'll throw up here later this evening.

Oh yeah, you can't actually enter the Pod yourself, but you can throw sackbots in there.
I have a use for it at a later date, but I'll fill you in on that if I get around to it. . Enjoy!

wish we could zoom out when decorating are normal Pod,
ZhaHaha! And This kind of thing is most likely why we won't
be able to take are LBP2-Beta saves with us to the real

The decorations are the ends of Doc Oc's arms from the Marvel pack. Can't remember the exact name but that's the pack they're from. You want them now... don't you? Mwwuuuuuaaaaahaha....!!!

Sehven was asking me about those too. We ended up mucking around with costumes last week together and he pulled out the deco to try it on one of his costumes and actually managed to get his sackboy's hand completely inside the decoration! It looked great, but I can't remember if he saved it or not. I haven't been successful in doing the same though.... and I've tried several times.

I experimented with it earlier today, you can get inside using checkpoitns in there or gasifying the pod, going in and then unlethalizing it

The pod has a tweak menu which you can't access... pressing square causes an error which moves you straight to the real pod... just like some of the extra music tracks.

For anyone who can't get into the link who's interested, what you have to do is glue anything you want to put into your pod in in create mode then save the pod as an object. Then when you return to pod it should be in saved pods.

Omgz you haz awesome stuff in pod.

I put a grappling hook and a jetpack with low gravity in mine, win.

Copy my level (in order to recieve the Pod as an object)
Glue any object that you want in your pod to the pod in create mode
Press circle to back all the way out of your popit.
Un-pause if you have not already
Select the Capture Object tool (Found in your Goodies bag)
Select all objects inside your pod (including the pod itself)
You should have heard the capture sound.
Go to your Pod, open your popit, go to the My Saved Pod section
Click on the most recent version of your Pod (The one that you just made in create mode).
You can do this with most objects that can be found in your popit.

Nothing made in the beta is going to move over to the real game, which sucks because there's a lot of epic stuff that will be lost.

Well you need to make a pod for sackboys, what you gonna do, waste time making new engine or just build on top of existing? Besides most of games using something like that, Unreal games fir example, menu is fully a map, Starcraft 2 the Hyperion rooms etc is also made on maps.

Hell right! I just installed functional disco lights in my pod activated via DCS

Too bad music is not working in Pod, just hear moment of silance and thats it, so no jungbox in pod

Also tips:

-Select the pod first then the rest
-When popit go to materials insted of oyur objects it means it worked if you copied pod to your objects it means it failed
-Oh and back up your profile and don't quit game with such pod just in case

Also someone should see if they can destroy the Pod. There's a destruction switch in LBP2 right? If not try and change it to dissolve material or something.

So, I glitched my pod, and now I have a small army of soldier sackbots that are there even why I haven't loaded my glitched pod...

And this wasn't my pod, but fun as always:

You can also lethalize the pod, and put level links in it too!

Also notice that when you return to normal pod the things that are unglued and global settings (gravity) stays until you not play a level and go back to pod, I also confirmed that sounds objects work

A good way to get rid of the Sackbots is throwing them into the flaming surface of the pod - I had twenty pandas, a flaming pod, and the need to get rid of them, so...

Projectiles from the Creatinator appear invisible, although they can still harm Sackpeople. Oddly enough, you can't die from fire while in your Pod - If you're standing on a flaming surface, your Sackperson just keeps looping the getting-burnt animation that plays when you land on fire but don't die.

No... that was the very first thing I tried. Too bad, some of the materials would have made the pod look amazing!!

Actually...the controller is a decoration, so that's why it seems like you can't detach it - You gotta use the Sticker Edit cursor, not the regular popit cursor.

No, you just keep falling... and respawning... and falling... and you can't do anything...
I've been in a pod that wasn't there

Someone on the beta forums said that putting a water tweaker is not recommended - Instant freeze.

be careful. I emitted a light into my pod and couldn't get rid of it!

I suggest placing a destroyer chip controled by a player detected controlinator with a button action like L1 for instance, place it on everything if you are planning to emit objects like darkmatter in the pod. So you can easily press L1 to get rid of it without reverting back to an old back up.

I might try making a mini level/game to be played inside the pod. It'd be emitted when you press triangle and destroyed when you press circle.

The possibility's of this glitch are endless, and also somewhat dangerous.

I couldn't seem to get music to work - I tried user-created and official Mm music (I really wanted to use the Super Block Drop track, but unfortunately that didn't work either). I had such a great disco dance floor, but it's no fun without music. 2010-11-09 02:45:00

Yeah, I made some beats with the sequencer, I would press triangle and 4 red sackbots would appear and start dancing. Apparently i make music better with the sequencer then the music one...

Anybody with the BETA will probably have noticed the "THE POD HASD BEEN CAPTURED!!!" levels suddenly appearing on the cool pages right?

Well it turns out that using this POD, get it from community levels, you can actually build objects that appear inside your POD :O

It's quite simple to do (i'll write up a short tutorial son) and you can create some really cool PODs.
atm my POD has a bunk bed, a hamster wheel and a arcade machine inside it, if you grab the top of the bed it also emits 2 sackbots to pay with !! Ive also made PODs with bounce pads and paintinators and creartinator and endless powerups to play with, and my lil bro (not naming any names cos he gets angry) has built himself a steampunk POD with iron girders and crates galore.
It was while i was loading up a POD that i realised Mm must have made this part of the programming. Basically the way you load up your personalized PODs is exactly the same as how you load up a sticker and decorated one , there is even a little thumbnail for your POD!! (This is what leads me to believe Mm programmed this into the game)

EDIT: you can also use the global grvaity changer , but im not sure about reel waterz, and so far music items havent worked (which makes sense i guess since there is already POD music)

It only means that for pod saving they use same capture tool code as we use in create mode, and god glitch simply opened back door to this function

Well of course it's alright, it's not hurting anybody, is it? With the God Glitch you can steal people's levels and objects, and that's wrong. We're not doing anything wrong, we're just using this glitch for fun, and it's something we've always wanted as a feature.

Well of course it's alright, it's not hurting anybody, is it? With the God Glitch you can steal people's levels and objects, and that's wrong. We're not doing anything wrong, we're just using this glitch for fun, and it's something we've always wanted as a feature.

Actually this glitch does not need god glitch, it's a product of god glitch, all you need is captured pod, if god glitch gonna be patched, but this one not, it still will be functional since levels with pods are still out there. All you can do wrong is to mess up your profile

That's just epic that someone's actually managed to capture a pod. It's like an urban legend come true.

What walls are there left to break down in lbp? We've had invisible sackboys, invulnerable sackboys, extra layers, create abilities in pod/story mode...you name it and somebody somewhere always manages to find the black swan.

Ok, well let's see if someone comes up with a way to get a fifth player into online play.

I agree GOD GLITCH goes

but CAPTURED POD STAYS

and I really HOPE Mm finds a way to give us the POD glitch and make it so it doesn't mess up our profiles (which doesn't bother me because I back up my saves always)

You can capture the edited pod in create mode, go to your pod, select the Pod menu in Popit and the captured pod will be there as a customization option. I think that's what they've done anyway. (:

there's a level in COOL LEVELS that's a tutorial of how to create in your POD...but how to get full screen is by glueing a level link ANYWHERE on the POD...even the bottom if you don't want it to show

but yeah you have to make sure everything is glued to your POD...oh and power ups work, and so do DCS

oh and sackbots too...though they have to be emitted and can't be put on there.....but maybe attaching one to a DCS will fix that? not sure but it's worth a try

background you get by going to a planet that has a background you want and quickly running to decorate earth and saving the settings before it reverts back...then you can edit the lighting and such

@ shadowriver - yeah I said it the LEVEL LINK glued on the POD itself makes it disappear
