Technically it's possible for someone to make a PS3 virus... ... But it'd be impracticable. Think about it, PCs and PS3s are very different platforms. In order to make a virus that attacks a PS3, you'd need to make something adapted to the PS3... which would be a very difficult task, and stupid when you consider that there are plenty of PC viruses to steal from. And even if they did hack ps3s, what would they even get? POSSIBLY your credit card info if you have it saved, and they can crack the asterisks... So making a completely new brand of virus that attacks a completely different OS that reaps very little reward is so stupid a task, no virus maker person would be stupid enough to tread into that territory. And thus, no PS3 virus has ever been made. Hence, you are safe to do... that... without worrying that North Korea will steal your Credit Card info and use it to fund their doomsday scam. ... Cause you know who's doing the hacking. :kz: | 2010-11-07 01:57:00 Author: RockSauron ![]() Posts: 10882 |

I think they can hold computer viruses, but not be affected by them. Mine might be doing that... | 2010-11-07 06:31:00 Author: tomodon246 ![]() Posts: 624 |
Sure they can get viruses! I accidentally sneezed at my PS3, and it has been coughing a little ever since, poor thing ![]() | 2010-11-07 10:34:00 Author: moonwire ![]() Posts: 1627 |
I think they can hold computer viruses, but not be affected by them. Mine might be doing that... Thhis is true, but it would be like getting a windows virus on OSX all it is doing is eating a small piece of memory. | 2010-11-07 10:44:00 Author: robotiod ![]() Posts: 2662 |
