Kingdom Hearts general chat area. What do u guys think of the upcoming Re:Coded and 3D games?

Just to let u know, my favourite games r Birth By Sleep & 358/2 days cos i can play them where ever i am XD and i think they should re-release Kh 1 & 2 as a special edition for the ps3,		2010-11-07 00:43:00

I'd like a collection of the PS2 games for the PS3, like how Sly Cooper is getting one with all three of his games. I'm probably not gonna get Coded (read up on it, it's mostly the same as KH1 gameplay wise and world wise...) and I can't get KH 3D because a 3DS is going to be too expensive. I wish I could have played BBS, but I watched a full walkthrough on Youtube and it look awwwwesome. I've played everything but BBS though, so it's all good.

Own both KH and KHII. I've maxed-out on KHII and I have over 2,455 hours in that game alone. Most of that was messing with Gummi Ships and trying to max out on Drive Forms and challenges. I've also maxed out Donald & Goofy as well.

I could go on about Kingdom Hearts for hours.

I think coded is more similar to BBS gameplay wise, cos they r including the command list that was introduced in BBS, and it is also similar to 358, but i think they made advances with the graphics of the big cuitscenes, but decreased graphics on little cutscenes. I am not gonna get a 3DS, cos i will just read about it when it is released.

The only game i haven't played is Chain of Memories, but hopefully at christmas that will change(fingers crossed) XD
And i bet i could probably drone on about KH for longer than you


Yyyyeah KH PS3 (or in other words, Kingdom Hearts 3) is estimated to release in 2012 or 2013...

I also have made a keyblade from a cereal box, toilet rolls, pieces of cardboard, and Tape.....Lots and Lots of Tape.

i am planning to...
i do psp lbp, and i was looking at Kh levels, nd to be honest it doesnt look like anyone has put much effort into their levels, so i am gonna start making some soonish, but i have other lbp projects ongoing atm. But tell me, should i start levels with Birth By Sleep or KH1?		2010-11-10 20:23:00

I dont mind if you go off topic cos disney is part off KH so it technically is still on topic... And BBS is pretty hard...i think they should off lighted the XP needed to level up cos it takes too long to level up now and my ventus is only lvl 56, it gonna take a lifetime to get to 99. I just finally defeated the Villains Vendetta Mirage Arena mission and got my ventus the ULTIMA WEAPON!!!!! now i need to do it with Terra & Aqua, so i will be ready to fight the vantias remnant and the unknown when i unlock them (i am not sure if all of you will get these optional secret bosses, cos i think it is only for the EU version :/)

OMG... i have just finished the final episode on BBS! It's sooo sad. :'( Poor Aqua... someone better save her in KH 3 :@		2010-11-11 19:07:00

Yeah, i defeated him when i was level 97 and i used the ultima weapon


in the BBS secret ending video u c aqua at the dark margin, and she meets ansem, who tells her that sora is gonna save them all... and then in the coded ending it shows sora reading the king's message, and tells him that he has gotta save those connected to him ...( Roxas, Xion, Ventus, Terra, Aqua...nd possibly namine)

XD cant wait for KH3.

dunno wat 3D is about but its not part of the main story...or thats what i get from Tetsuya Nomura's interview thingy about it. Other people insist it is gonna be KH3, but TN clearly says it is not, nd that the 3DS is giving them a chance to experiment with storylines that dont quite fit in to the real plot... thats y he says that the sora isnt the sora we know... Yeah, I've played Re:Coded in Japanese and Pokemon White to! They are both amazing games and for thoose who dont know, KH recoded is a DS remake of Coded which was originally for a japan mobile that never got released here, The story is : Jimmy fonds a message in his diary that he dodn;t wright and so they go and make a data sora to go into the book and go to many diffrent worlds in jimmy's journal to find out who wrote it! so yeah im not really spoiling much but the ending made me like: ''OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGMOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOM GOMG O M G!'' Or even better yet: a WHOLE KH park. I mean, they've got enough "worlds" to make their own attractions off of (Port Royal, Halloween Town, Hollow Bastion). And I could imagine the HUGE castle from TWTNW (The World That Never Was) as the park's central hub. I ought to become an Imagineer JUST for that.

Yeah...i think hot topic and the sword shops are only in America as well. The most I've found in he Uk are the games, and a Sora shoulder bag from Amazon.co.uk (which i want for christmas). but the shoulder bag is still a imported item on amazon. I think the most Square-Enix do for Eu is those avatar phone strap things from their online EU shop... we need more merchandise!!!		2010-11-13 12:50:00

Kingdom Hearts was the reason I got a PS2 after playing it at a pals house and being amazed at how good the story was. It's in my top 5 games of all time and Kingdom Hearts 2 was my most eagerly awaited game at the time, I had to wait 2 and a half years for it and through numerous delays. I haven't had a chance to play any of the handheld ones yet but Birth By Sleep looks amazing, I just wish they would hurry up and announced that Kingdom Hearts 3 is being made.2010-11-14 04:20:00

Upside- Set it on fire and you get Firaga.

I'm being a KH nerd and reading the KH thread on a LBP site XD

I've played I and II, and then got Re:chain and 358, so I'm pretty caught up. I don't have BBS because I don't have a PSP, and I don't plan on getting one =p I can only hope they port it to the PS3 for some random reason. Or watch stuff on youtube, but I'd rather play it myself. Or wait till a friend can let me borrow the game and a PSP and play it that way. I hear that critical mode is extremely hard and frustrating.
I don't know what to think of them making a KH 3D. Is it going to be a new game? Or is it a remake for the 3DS?

I think its good that they are remaking coded because it gives those a chance who didnt get the mobile version like me, to play them and get that part of the storyline. I have mixed thoughts about 3D cos its not like the next bit of main storyline


I love KH. I really do, but I recently played a bit of KH2, only to have my memories shattered.

Maybe it's the waiting for another one, or the fact I hadn't played in a while just made it feel outdated. Feels weird as it's a game that had me at the edge of my seat the whole 78 hours I've played on it.

hehe i have nearly 100 hours on my KH2, most of it is spent on making awsome gummi ships to do try nd do that 'assault of the dreadnought' mission 3, where that big ship comes at the end and prevents you from going through the keyhole. It took me forever to defeat him.		2010-11-15 20:26:00

Wow...Birth By Sleep is just beautiful. I've been playing it on and off recently, I have no idea why (probably due to fruitball stressing me out so much. I HATE YOU CAPTAIN JUSTICE I HATEYOUIHATEYOU). It might be my favorite Kingdom Hearts, even greater than Kingdom Hearts I (which IMO is the greatest game ever made). Ask for a PSP this year folks, and then get Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. A game so great doesn't deserve an abbreviation, it deserves its title spelled out fully.2010-11-19 03:31:00

I'm not really the %100-every-game-I-get kind of person. I usually only play to the main storyline, then if I feel like it, I go and %100 everything. The only game in which I've done that is Assassin's Creed II.2010-11-20 03:53:00

If you don't 100% Birth by Sleep its probably gonna be hard as a brick. I had a strategy where I would get to a certain point then backtrack and 100% everything. Up until that point I got my butt kicked. When I went to 100% everything I leveled up my commands and everything started to get easier.
Then Fruittball/bowl/court (whatever you call it) came along.

I'm sorry but LBP is second on my list to KingDom Hearts, you just cant replace it.


If you don't 100% Birth by Sleep its probably gonna be hard as a brick. I had a strategy where I would get to a certain point then backtrack and 100% everything. Up until that point I got my butt kicked. When I went to 100% everything I leveled up my commands and everything started to get easier.
Then Fruittball/bowl/court (whatever you call it) came along.
I hate Fruitball/bowl/court.

I have 100% Ventus (besides secret bosses nd fully levelled up), the fruitball was easy after a while, the worst thing is the ice cream rythmn game, it took me forever to get fantastic on dessert paradise master mode, i got the frozen fortune command style for it tho


So...I've already watched the whole thing on Youtube, but I'd still like to play it. I don't have a PSP, but...Is it worth buying a PSP and the game even if I've seen the whole thing on Youtube already?

dont think about not getting it, its an insult to Kingdom Hearts to just watch the playthroughs on youtube :@ Birth By Sleep is great, i like to explore the worlds and see the detail, you just dont get that on youtube videos :/ p.s my favourite world is Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden XD		2010-11-20 14:29:00

Did you like? Even though you can choose any character to start with and play them in any order, i recommend choosing Terra fisrt, then Ventus, then Aqua, cos Then the cutscenes flow a little better 		2010-11-21 11:36:00

You unlock the Mysterious Figure secret boss by defeating Vanitas' Remnant, then you go to a still-accessible save file and visit the Land of Departure. I'm not sure of any other secret bosses, though. Oh yeah, and good luck beating the Mysterious Figure lololol2010-11-26 19:44:00

It's cos they are meant to be international versions workable for any PS2, but i dont think it does European PS2's. Yeh the BBS Final mix is set to be released evrywhere not just japan. The japanese version is gonna included the two secret bosses that were added for the Eu version, nd all the BBS Final Mix versions are gonna have extra cutscenes. XD

Loving BBS, though people said all 3 stories are different but I don't really see that. I played through with Ven, now with Aqua, and it feels the same. Still good game anyway.

About KH3, I was thinking what new features could end up on the disc. A chat system? Like a Monkey Island kind of thing? What about the graphics? If they keep the cartoony graphics of the series it won't look great, especially if it's on PS3.

I love Kingdom Hearts! I only have/played one of them on the PS2 but I watched all of the cutscenes on the internet and I love the story the games tell! Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded looks like a side game but it should still be fun to play! I can't wait until Kingdom Hearts 3D though! That game looks like it will be more like Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Though I'm not sure if I will have a 3DS when it comes out. What is your favorite character of the series guys? The side games ARE relevant to the plot, BBS is a sequel, which focuses on how Xehanort, the main bad guy got to where he was in kh 1 nd 2, and BBS also sets the ground for KH3, 358 is about what happens to roxas, nd why he is there at the start of KH 2 nd CoM is about wat happenes to SORA between 1 nd 2, nd tells us y he is in the pod at the beginning of KH 2. the only non relevant one is Kh vevo, which was a crappy mobile spin off in japan, about some event that happens while they r on the gummi ship in KH 1 but hav no memory of.

Without these games we would never know how the story fits together, these side games clear blank points and some of the many unanswered questions. I think that show that they do have relevance to sora nd the main plot

I MEANT that there was no need for all of the events that happened in Chain of Memories - What was the point of taking apart his memories, only to put them back together again later?
They should have just gone from KH1 to KH2. WITH some tweaking, it could have been done. As for 358/2 Days, they could have just added a few cutscenes to KH2 showing Roxas' time in the organization, rather than making a whole game on it.
I would have liked it better if the storyline/order of events (NOT order of the games!) went like this:
BBS > KH1 > KH2 > KH3

It would have been a lot less confusing than this:
BBS > KH1 > KH Chain of Memories/KH 358/2 Days > KH2 > KH Coded > KH 3D > KH3

Look, I'm a sucker for KH and love all the games regardless, but I'm JUST SAYING, it would have been better off without so many sidegames.		2011-01-16 21:59:00

I liked KH2 final mix, fighting all them extra members. Ho, I remember using AR max codes to play as Roxas and having alley Axel. I'm still playing the psp one... don't think I'll bother with the all these prequels... I just want a KH on PS3!

Nah, remember Squarenix is divided by teams, The team thats making FF13-2 doesnt have anything to do with Kingdom Hearts (Unless Lighting or a character from FF13 will be in Kingdom Hearts 3), but I dont know really. All we can do is wait for FF13 Versus and after that they will tell us something about KH3.


And of course you can bet KH3 is of course being made already I mean thinking about it. If they Finish FF13 Versus on December 2011 or around Feb 2012 its not like they'll jump off to make KH3 (Which could take years and years). Right now Kingdom Hearts 3 has been on works for like...idk 3 or 4 years I think.

Im sure once FF13 Versus is out of the way, we will get to see something from KH regardless of FF13-2 etc
(Just like Devil May Cry, they said once they finished Bayoneta, they would get back to Devil May Cry and look, the Trailer is out and we might be seeing it for like December 2011)<--->(Bayoneta came out like May 2010 I think)

And of course you can bet KH3 is of course being made already I mean thinking about it. If they Finish FF13 Versus on December 2011 or around Feb 2012 its not like they'll jump off to make KH3 (Which could take years and years). Right now Kingdom Hearts 3 has been on works for like...idk 3 or 4 years I think.

Im sure once FF13 Versus is out of the way, we will get to see something from KH regardless of FF13-2 etc
(Just like Devil May Cry, they said once they finished Bayoneta, they would get back to Devil May Cry and look, the Trailer is out and we might be seeing it for like December 2011)<--->(Bayoneta came out like May 2010 I think)



BUT XD lol the main thing here is the Traditional Lazyness of Square Enix, they work realy hard and they have Always been known as lazy, slowpokes etc....But they've been working pretty fast now, so I have hopes for KH3 for 2012 ^_______^.

Nope, it hasn't been in the works for that long. Nomura said that KH3 was still in the conceptual stage, and that was about a year ago. So it's probably gonna be late 2012 or 2013.		2011-01-23 07:34:00

Sorry for the double post, but...yeeeeeeeeeah, err...According to Birth by Sleep Final Mix's secret ending...there's gonna be a Birth by Sleep sequel...In other words...Another spin-off.

HOPEFULLY that's just a distraction until KH3 comes out, and they'll be working on both of them at the same time, eh heh, yeah!

I'm sorry, but they are the new heartless... Heard there will be a scene like in KH2, where you have to fight thousands of Jonas brothers and Hannah Monatanas... Well apparently pixar dont want anything to do for it but in the programing of kh2 final mix, there were to unfinishederings of buzz nd woodyas summons, but tthheren't added :/

I saw people mentioning here about they re-releasing the old KHs for PS3, would be nice, and if they ever did that, it should be the Final Mix + versions TRANSLATED. I have alwas liked these international / final mix + , the exclusive content they have makes them so awesome and superior compared to the original versions, despite the often "difficult to read" kanjis (More than hiragana and katakana in my opinion).

I remember FFX-2, despite being disliked by many, had really awesome stuff in its International version. Also I wish I had a PSP only for playing the upcoming Final Mix + version of KH BBS.		2011-03-06 02:59:00
