What is acceptable for a level in terms of how many times the community has played the level to how many times it was completed?2010-11-06 01:42:00

Anything unles the ratio of completed surpasses the ratio of times played.

(It doesn't really matter tbh m8, so one should really not worry about it.
(Unless people complain of a part or something.)

But otherwise there's plenty people who won't finish levels just because or the get disconnected and stuff, no no worries.

Obviously if not many people are completing your level then there's something wrong, and people are getting bored/stuck/fed up/disconnected/hungry or whatever. If you're worried that not many people are completing your level because it's too hard or breakable, rope in an online buddy to playtest - because he doesn't know your level as well as you, he (or she) will more than likely fall for the breakages/bugs/difficult jumps that your online players are coming up against. Which means you can then fix them. 2010-11-06 03:53:00

I don't know about others, but a lot of the time I just return to pod before I get to the scoreboard, such as when I first see it. I know it's not very smart, but most of the time I'm just to lazy to complete it.2010-11-07 03:02:00

Yeah same, unless I'm going for a high score.
Good thing there is a skip button in LBP2.

Looking at my published levels, my numbers seem to be in the range or 33% - 50%.
I'd say the average completion of a standard platformer is just below 50%.

I don't think there is any "acceptable" ratio, it depends on the level. The ratio I tend to look for is between the amount of plays and the amount of hearts. I would say any decent level will have more than 10% hearts to the number of plays. Again, this will depend on the type of level as someone may play your level many times. but they can only give one heart.2010-11-08 04:46:00
