Yeah this has been the official release date for ages. On every article MM posts on the PSBlog I see so many comments asking for the release date. I don't know how MM have failed to communicate the release date... it's been on every teaser video for ages. It was confirmed soon after the delay was announced.

@ thor I thought they confirmed January but not the day. As far as I know January 18th was first shown in the sackbot trailer shown a couple of days ago.

No, I'm pretty sure they already said it on the day the delay was announced, albeit only in the comments of the US blog. It doesn't really matter anyway, it's out when it's out.
