LITTLE BIG PYRAMID: TEMPLE OF TUTANKHAMUNGILUPL
AWESOME MASSIVE LEVEL
Hi everyone . Are you looking for the longest, the biggest, the most tricky and the most various level in LBP? Please play my: LITTLE BIG PYRAMID: TEMPLE OF TUTANKHAMUN. This level contains elements of skill, a lot of original puzzles never seen before, bosses, emergency switches for noobs, fun storyline (sackboy talking to you, a lot of situation jokes) and more! You cannot miss this level, there is 20 nice chapters like: angry scorpion, silent sounds, reflections lights, twisted structures, bouncing ball (very original), dangerous plants, mummy chase (running mummy!) and much more! When I created this level the most important things for me were: originality, fun factor, various gameplay and long adventure. There isn't the best graphic but what you can except from very long, giant, massive level? What is the most important for you? You like short beautiful levels with standard puzzles or you like long adventures with not the best graphic but with smart puzzles and awesome gameplay? Answer yourself. My PYRAMID will take you about 40 minutes 1st time to finish whole. This level was very hard to create because it is very, very long, twice bigger as the most medium size levels!!! Thanks for everyone who will play this level . I will play your level also as soon as possible!

Two opinions:
Big thanks for TheConductor: "GILUPL ---Little Big Pyramid: Temple of Tutankhamun, I went back and completed this level because last time it took me too long. IF your looking for a long difficult puzzler this level is for YOU! This level is expertly crafted with some of the most innovative puzzles I have EVER seen on LBP. However, as the description for the level states it is for SMART players only and very long. One nice aspect added by GILUPL is the ability to skip ahead 6 chapters to complete previously undone chapters. As I said before this level is done with expert craftsmanship but it will take you awhile to complete, so if your looking for a quick level it's best to play this level at 3 separate times completing 6 chapters per attempt. For sheer creativity and expansiveness this level got 5 stars and a heart for level and creator both. Also 3rd place on single player!!!"

Big thanks for Gemzi_13: "GILUPL - wow, wow, wow, WOW!! I just finished playing your first pyramid level with the hubby and what can I say but wow? That level is pure genius, my friend. That is absolutely the most fun I have had playing a community level and I'd like to let you know that my husband and I both hate you. lol I hate your wheel of death and he hates your chasing mummy. We were cursing you loudly in those parts. haha! Seriously, it's just brilliant. I love figuring out puzzles and usually a good level has one or two, but this was chock full of brain teasers and I freaking loved it. The crazy balls were one of the coolest things I've ever seen in a level! You really have some unique ideas and put them to good use. I know we missed at least one part, so I'm going to play it again and will definitely be playing the second one. Can't wait to see what tortures you have in store for us there. lol"

Thanks a lot midnight_heist for playing my level. I will play your as soon as possible, I read review of your Rachet & Clank anyway and seems to be really good!

I copied your opinion. My answers are in ().
- Correctly post the level name in the showcase thread. (Done.)
- Generic MM stick for icon. create a custom sticker for the level. (Is that minus? I don't really care about that. Is it something wrong with Mm stickers?)
- Got squished falling down the pyramid glass level select chute. (Sorry my English is not the best, hmm?)
+ Bouncy contraption. (Thanks.)
+ Memory number/letter puzzle. (I am glad you like it but I think much original puzzles are: fatal buttons, silent sounds and reflections lights.)
I guess I skipped 3/4 of it.
Now I'm starting @ #6. :/ How do I get to #1?
+ Great that I don't have to do the lizard room twice. (Ok, there is 10 skipping options plus 2 on start.)
+ Nice layer changing puzzle. (What you mean, those things in chapter 8, hmm?)
+ Nice bunker wheel. Aced it. (Thanks.)
Oh. I missed that grabbable sponge in the first room, ha.
+ Timed platforms. (That's standard, nothing special. Much better are: dangerous plants and mummy chase.)
+Scorpion boss. Nice dynamic there. Wish the checkpoint was closer though. (Thanks, the checkpoint is not too far.)
- Thin glass obsures block letters. You should cut a hold in the middle of them.
Got stuck there for a bit. I would make the chalices/time/sand things (forget the proper name) more like trophies or something? (Sorry, I don't understand what you mean? Will be easier if I will change name of this chapter from tree cups to tree trophies?)
+ Thank you for adding the layer hint, it helped me beat the puzzle. (I had to do that anyway because without hints the level would be too hard.)

Nice level. (Thanks a lot, did you see how many original ideas is there?)
Got some fun platforming/puzzles in there.
Visuals could do with some refining, but definitely worth a play. (Visuals can't be better, did you see how BIG is this level? Thermometer is getting red after adding one thing!)
I agree with some of the level comments about the lacking direction. (There is only 1 comment like that and I am not agree because if you read every info you shouldn't have a problem. Also chapter 1 is call: secret entrance. Is it?)
4 stars from me.
Hearted (as a bookmark) for a replay sometime to play it in the proper order and to get a decent score.

Thanks again midnight_heist, I respect your opinion. My last thought: the graphic is the most important in the games (levels)? What's about gameplay? Look how many original ideas is in my PYRAMID? Show me 2nd level like that?

Gilupl, I was hesitant on playing your level simply because of responses to a fellow member here on LBPC. The purpose is to grow as a creator and set the pride aside and listen to valuable input. After all, a level you create in LBP is judged by the players, not yourself. I would certainly not boast or brag as well claiming its the best because that can almost certainly set yourself up for failure. You raise peoples expectations and really kill the 'wow factor' and it does nothing but bring you down as a creator.

Back to your level. I played one and two and thought they were both done fairly well. Some puzzles were unique and something new for me to see and I certainly liked that. The time to finish the level was not quite 40 mins or anything extreme, BUT it was certainly longer than most due to the puzzles. Sound was not over the top, but as more of a puzzler than an action platformer, thats to be expected. Music again is pretty straight forward with out much change. I noticed a piston showing after the target practice room, its connected to a platform that moves diagonally and has the paininator on it.

Your levels are not up to par as far as graphics are concerned. I understand how the thermo can restrict things quite a bit, but I noticed that your level 2 was significantly shorter than the first. Perhaps take a few of the puzzles from the first and move it to the second and then touch up the levels graphically. There was also a portion where your navigating through a wheel where you need to jump over the electrified blocks and when you get to the bottom, the whole wheel begins to turn and you must make it to the exit. I died here and when I re-spawned from the checkpoint, I made it back to the wheel to jump in it's exit and just ride it to the bottom with out having to venture through the whole thing. Another turn off for me personally is some of your choice of words. My daughter often plays with me and call me the over-protective parent, but why a*s?? Just simply out of place and not needed. If I had Modern Warfare or Killzone on, I certainly wouldnt be playing it in front of my daughters, but LBP? With little Sackpeople?

Summary of the two, it was good. Four Stars from me because of the originality of your puzzles. If it was graphically pleasing to the eye and cleaned I certainly would place it at five stars. Nice job.

First off, no need to play my level in return.

Nothing wrong with MM stickers, but if you take the time to create a custom sticker icon, the level will get more plays, will look more professional and it will show that care/time has been put into it before the player even enters the level.

Glass/skip to level 6 or 12. I grabbed both the dissolves, slid down to the right, then sackboy got squashed in a corner because he was moving at speed.

Layer changing puzzle = the maze like wooden one. Was fun.

"Will be easier if I will change name of this chapter from tree cups to tree trophies?" Yes, but by tree I think you mean "Three" ?
So a good name would be "Three trophies" or something.

Lizard room: I meant that it's good how you turn off the gas when the player is returning with the key.

Visuals vs Gameplay.
This is a big debate, and I wrestle with it constantly.
I'm a big believer in gameplay, but your visuals arn't up to par with the community at the moment. MM's official story mode levels keep the visuals simple, but focus on the gameplay. That is what you want to aim for.
Take a look at the "jackofcourse" or "lockstitch" abstract style levels, and you can see that they can pack in a fair bit of gameplay, while keeping the level looking very nice at the same time.
Have a read of this (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=11840-Jackofcourse-s-Guide-to-Creating-UPDATED-18-9-09-Section-10-added.), it has some handy hints on level creation.
With the thermo, you can have a level that is "all visuals, no gameplay", or "all gameplay, no visuals".
A good level aims for something inbetween, balancing both to a high standard.

---

EDIT: Alright, good stuff.
For the glass slide, Instead of a right angle (or less) corner, try adding an extra line, like this (http://www.woodweb.com/knowledge_base_images/ms/frameless_corner_cabinet_2.jpg).
Even if this kind of stuff happens once during playtesting, you should still try to minimize it as much as possible.
Good on you for emphasizing your originality. A level can still look good, as well as being original though.
I'll be sure to check out #2 sometime and give you some feedback.

Thanks a lot John82wa and midnight_heist. I really agree with all words what you wrote and I really respect and appreciate that. Sorry about that bad word John82wa, I will change that very soon, my bad. You wrote "words", is there anything else what I should change? You see maybe you are very smart so you hadn't problem with my pyramids but some players just told me they spend 40 minutes to finish whole pyramid (each). When you are playing 2nd time the pyramids are much shorter but 1st time some players just need more time to solve the puzzles. Also I will look after electrical wheel, thanks. I know I am wrong with all that what you wrote on start in your opinion. You see I spend a lot of time to create those pyramids and to be honest I believe I could create 4 good levels in the same time. Some chapters were difficult to do before they start working right: fatal buttons, bouncing ball, reflections lights, mummy chase, shark attack and scarab ball. That was really long and hard work. Too many problems, mistakes, bugs, a lot of testing. Also all ideas are original, some are unique, that took time to discover them. You know mysterious steps and windy room, look at how good (with the sense) I used the bug in the game (invisible materials), did I?
"Glass/skip to level 6 or 12. I grabbed both the dissolves, slid down to the right, then sackboy got squashed in a corner because he was moving at speed." - you mean you died? I think that happen very sometimes, it isn't a big problem, I don't know what can I do?
"Layer changing puzzle = the maze like wooden one. Was fun." - thanks, I added that very last time.
"(Will be easier if I will change name of this chapter from tree cups to tree trophies?) Yes, but by tree I think you mean "Three" ?
So a good name would be "Three trophies" or something." - sorry I lost "h", should be three cups, thanks.
"Lizard room: I meant that it's good how you turn off the gas when the player is returning with the key." - ok, now I know what you mean.
"With the thermo, you can have a level that is "all visuals, no gameplay", or "all gameplay, no visuals".
A good level aims for something inbetween, balancing both to a high standard." - you are right but I wanted to be original and I chose 2nd way. Can you play the 2nd pyramid, please?
Thanks...
