How to create buttons hints for controlinator?

Please help me

I played in many levels, where we have buttons hints for controlinator special functions. One of the example is level SackFighter Dogfight by Raphaei - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=570lEAdQuUw&feature=player_embedded . I could not find the way to create the same in my level.

Have anyone know how it can be done?

You name outputs of controlinator by tweaking them and those names will appear on the bottom for player that is mounted2010-11-03 18:46:00

Also, iirc, you have to hook up the button to something as well, otherwise the label won't show up!

I guess they did this to avoid people from fake labeling, but you could easily bypass this by hooking up a button to an empty OR gate.

You hover over the buttons' output area (the lighted triangle parts) and press Square to tweak the output. You should see a popit menu with a "Prompt" option you can select to get a text editor.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think if you get the popit menu with an "Output" option instead, it will not show up as hints (you would need to disconnect the wires coming from that output in order to get the "Prompt" option to appear).
The output then needs to be connected to something in order to show up on screen.

Yes, though I haven't tested it fully to know which outputs are affected, but I know I ran into this trouble when hooking up Sixaxis outputs, but not the L stick outputs.

Thank you, man! I tried to edit output names after connecting wires and there are no any promt for players. I thought that I did something wrong and you make clear for me this feature. Thank you again!
