High Housed Help!


To the Sack dudes and dudettes of LittleBigPlanet,

Oh man, my house is like totally wrecked! The floorboards were all gnarly and cracked and stuff, and the stilts holding up the foundation totally bailed during the surprise visit of my not so rad mother-in-law. I was up on the roof checking out a massive hole when everything started falling, so I like chimney-surfed straight into the ground. Sweet! I mean sort of. Luckily nobody was like squished or anything but dang, now I need a new home.

I'd go to the sorta legit village building association, but those dudes are out catching sick air on some new cliffs they found and don't have time to build stuff. So hey, I'm kinda hoping that there's some sort of creators out there who know how to make houses and junk. So, can you make me a wicked new place to live in that would look sweet in our village? I've got a stash of prize stuff like XP or something for the best design. Oh, and like the house will totally be there for everyone to check out, because it's going to be in something called Kindred which is probably a level or whatever.

Here is a list of like the requirements. You've gotta follow all of these or I can't live in your house! Dude, that would be so uncool.

The house has to be above the ground, as in not like a regular house. There's gotta be air under the foundation or I'm not gonna be happy. Us Platformeranians don't like hanging out on ground level, ever!
Your awesome design can't be any bigger than 6 x 6 grid squares, like kind of the size of a scoreboard. I can't afford a big ol' house man.
I like stuff made mostly outta wood. I don't want much metal or anything else. A little is ok for decoration or whatever, but wood is where it's at.
I totally already have all the DLC so you are free to use whatever DLC materials and/or stickers you want. No rare stickers though, 'cuz I don't have those.
You don't need to put the house in a full level or anything, but you can if you want. I'm really just interested in the house though, brah.
Dude, make as many houses as you want! The more you make the better the chances I'll pick the awesome pad you made for me.
Don't make an interior or anything - I just want the outside of the house.


Oh man, one more major bummer - there's a deadline! I've got a big party in a couple of weeks so I gotta get my house built by then. I need my new, awesome pad no later than 11:59PM GMT on November 19th, 2010.

If you create the sweetest and most wicked house for me, I will have it transported to the spot of my previous home via prizebubble. It'll be part of this Kindred thing and like everyone will know it's yours - how sweet is that!? I'll also hook you up with a total of 500XP in prize money... stuff... whatever you call it.

Good luck sack dudes and dudettes, you guys are wicked awesome. Remember, party at my new place when it's all done!

I'm calling this month "Hoarder's Appreciation Month" where everyone on LBP PSP shall bow to my greatness and please my every whim. I'm checking out at a spa where my favorite minions will pamper me endlessly, so I'm leaving the slackers--my personal chef Muffin Ali, my hygienist 28 oz jeffcu, and my personal electrician 151W Spark--to manage and judge this worthless jargon. Oh why must I be hungry, stinky, and left in the dark? Okay, I'm off.

1.How many layers does it have to be? Right now I'm using both thick layers and the third layer glitch.

The house can take up as many layers as it needs to as long as all are in a 6 x 6 grid.

As for supports, if your talking about the stilts and stuff, I don't think that will be part of the house. Then again I'm not quite 100%...		2010-11-04 02:35:00

Hey there potential competitors!
Let me clear up a few points.
The houses you make are NOT limited to any specific layer, though I would have to say the third layer glitch should not be used.
I would personally suggest working with ONE half thick layer, and TWO thin layers.

I have had a FASKISM for a while. Its developing a personality of its own. (A sadistic, evil, cruel, egotistical, bigoted personality) Sometimes it obeys...and other times I have to shake the PSP upside-down for a while and growl viciously/blackmail it/make threatening gestures/collapse and beg/weep...etc, before it submits, if ever.

I think a silhouetted house would be fine, BUT it'd be greatly appreciated that it wasn't a shadow because it would stand out of everything.

In other words, you have a very low chance of winning. :[

Thanks, If you have trouble with the shrinking use ali's trick, add a corner, pull it out add another corner pull that the other way to make it bigger, shrink it then remove those corners.

IMO Adding and pulling out two corners is better than just pulling out 1 corner very far.		2010-11-07 07:21:00

I could've gotten more creative with the house, but I didn't because:

A) I would be taking ideas away from you guys. /ego

B) I was rushing it and I had no idea what I was doing! I simply turned the game on, went into Create Mode, and started to mess around until something came out of it.

My House did have a cool platformanians logo on it but it messed up because i used the gas glue unleathalise trick

Having DLC doesn't put anyone to a disadvantage.

Having DLC doesn't put anyone to a disadvantage.
Sure they got a variety of materials to use, but that doesn't change the fact of creativity. If you beleive it's impossible to create good without, then play a level by Ali and tell me that again. e_o

LIES!!!! I never said it was impossible, just abit annoying cos the only wood that u get without dlc is huge planks or not the right colours for a house. You specify for wood, but there is not enough 'normal' like wood to choose from, only 3, which are the white/bleached planks., but i have made decent houses.
