Hey all, right now i have my PS3 hooked up to my HD Gateway computer monitor, which is great because i can watch TV, be on LBPcentral (yay!), and play Littlebigplanet all at once. The only problem is i don't get any sound from the monitor i have. I have an extra sound system, the kind you would hook up to a computer, and i want to find a way to hook it up to my PS3. I have tried to hook it up but, obviously, i can't figure out how to do it right... can someone help?

I have tried to hook it up but, obviously, i can't figure out how to do it right... can someone help? I'm assuming you're using the HDMI output for the video. You'll need another cable to break out the pins from the AV multi-out connector, which typically have two phono connectors colored white and red, which correspond to the left and right audio channels respectively. You'll need to plug those into your amplifier, and configure the audio settings on the PS3 so that the audio is output to the AV multi-out connector. That's pretty much it.

thanks, but unfortunetly i don't have one of those nor do i have the money. but thanks anyway! Strange. The cable I was referring to looks like this... http://gamestuff.ca/images/20080421062553195.jpg ...and is included in the box your PS3 was in.
