Temple of Glass Series: 1 and Prologuebubbles550
Here are my first two levels in my Temple of Glass series. The story revolves around a world left derelict after something snatched away all its life. You play as a lone survivor looking for answers in the one thing left standing: the elaborate and sinister Temple of Glass.
Okay, this is my first ever series, so I am not sure how its going to turn out, any feedback would be appreciated. I had a bit of a panic attack publishing this since the game corrupted, and have been racing to get it published before I have to leave wifi again (one hour to go- whew!).

 Why thank you. I think I may have published it at the wrong time for a chance at the spotlight though. To late in the first and too early (perhaps) for the second. Oops.

You are too late, but being early still gives you a chance for spotlight.
You just have to wait 2 weeks. :O
So do I, considering I was late as well.

Good AGHHHHH Okay, for level 1 there's one main problem. It still says the level is in the beta stage!! You need to republish quickly when you fix that. Otherwise :star::star::star::star::star: and a <3 for both levels.

It was very hard to take pictures of the prologue with the motion blur, and they all came out awful so... sorry.

Level 1 Pics:

I couldn't get Temple of Glass in one picture, I even tried merging the 3 pics together, but it just didn't work. :kz:

If you don't know how to get them, just click http://i51.tinypic.com/2j0idtg.png and copy the links for the ones you want.

Hey DizzyZebra! (DZ? :O)

This feedback may be very long if I did each level as a seperate. So, I decided I will combine the levels as one feedback. Do not worry, this feedback will be oh, so long still. You will earn two ratings instead. (One for each level.) I'm just trying keep the feedback from going too large. I'm trying to keep it to a certain limit. Anyway, you rock DizzyZebra because this is your first official level where you creating skills stepped up in the game. Keep on to continue building because I can see you go far. Now let us move off from this intro and go into your feedback!

On with the prologue. The intro starts out very calm. (It goes well with the song considering it's not jumpy or loud.) I liked how you are in a glass circle just reading the introduction. Each little phrase had its unique font, which I find Amusing. I like how the transitions to each phrase was as well. Then "Blank" pops up and new song. 0_0 Reminds me of Zen! I liked the rotating bolts wortked and then "colourless" is shown. It's awesome how you used black and white for that phrase. Then "Lifeless" pops up. O_O WOW!! The people just disappear and, once again, new song. That part was creepy considering everyone vanished. Then the awesome font of the Temple of Glass. Wow, everything is remarkable.

I liked the scenery from start to finish. The mountain at the near end looked spot on. Your stickering was just magnificent in this Prologue level. Your corner editing is as well gorgeous with the rest of the level. The last few sentences to this level was read down to up which was crazy in a good way. Then the scoreboard, upside down and decorated well enough. I had no errors or bugs during my playthrough on your prologue. Next is some feedback on your ToG I level. (Prologue rating at the bottom if you want it now.)

Let's get this next level's feedback on! The intro to this level doesn't fail to amuse me. I'm impressed already and this level had just began. The font fo the title is luminous and promising. I like the square sticker work when you barely enter the temple. It gives off an artsy vibe. The materials are effective as well. The glass figures on the left of the beginning temple is marvelous. I noticed you forgot to take ouf a speech bubble. The black and white stairs look very brilliant and I love the wavy rail. The Pillars]ahead on are corner edited very well, I also liked the whisper sounds added to it too. The glassy obstacles made things a struggle to get around, but it's good because it helps create challenge. I loved how thw glassy staircase arose from the floor as you approached it.

Your designs and sound effects made everything seem so special and shiny. It's absolutely incredible to gaze upon. Your stickerwork is still impressive throughout this entire level. I liked the "Nobody", he was original because he was, well, nobody. XD Suspense also built up in the story. I didn't enjoy the rotating obstacle as much, it killed a lot of time. Though, it's not a huge problem. The other obstacles were very cool and fun. The level had a good amount of length. I had no errors during my playthrough. Anyway, I'll move ahead to your awesome ratings. I hope you enjoy Dizzy!

@The Temple of Glass -Prologue-
Length: 5/5 (The intro to this story was long last and deserving.)
Material Usage: 5/5 (Each material was effective. I liked how each mood gave off certain colors.)
Sticker Work: 5/5 (Very well done for an awesome intro.)
Corner Editing: 5/5 (Do I have to describe this? Each area had a unique formation.)
Terrain/Mechanics: 5/5 (Considering this intro consist on mechanics mainly, you did Great!)
Story: 5/5 (Tbe intro builds up interest and makes you want to play the next level.)

Total: 30/30 Perfect Score!!

This introduction grab's the player's interest easily.
With that said, you earned 5 stars :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart. <3

@Temple of Glass I
Length: 5/5 (For a Glass Platformer, the obstacles and challenges made a decent length.)
Material Usage: 5/5 (Who knew Glass could be used in so many luminous ways? DizzyZebra, that's who.)
Sticker Work: 5/5 (Each stickering implemented only helped make the level look better, which it is. )
Corner Editing: 5/5 (Structures and formations are so outstanding and eye gazing.)
Terrain/Mechanics: (The obstacles were new and original, and glass helped a lot in gameplay.)
Story: 5/5 (This story really starts to build suspense, and it's like the first playable level? Wow!)

Total: 30/30 Perfect Score!! (A-GENZ!!)

This level had a new platforming style.
Therefore, you deserved a 5 star :star::star::star::star::star: and a heart! <3

I'll be ready to reheart when the time comes. It's also sorry to hear you have not wifi anymore. Hopefully things get better there!

OMIGOSH!!! WOW!!! Thanks for such an awesome feedback Spark! I am really glad you liked the Prologue, I had never done anything like it before. I was a bit afraid the second level would be too short, all the detail was taking up a lot of thermo. I am pleased the story went down so well too, I try hard to make plots involving. From your reaction it seems to have worked how I wanted it to. :hero: (You compared it with ZEN!!! -kinda- But...wow.)

Uh, what else can I say? WWWOOOT!!!

(Oh, unfortunatly I won't have wifi again till Christmas.*sniff*)

Okay Dizzy, as you know I've been looking forward to this for quite some time.

Prologue: Wow. Where to start? First, you have beaten every prologue level ever, at least on PSP. You just put us at the Kindred team to shame. Most prologue levels have the tendency to produce the feeling of 'get on with it', but not yours. By making this level into a ride, with surprises around every corner, you've managed to create a prologue that's actually fun to watch! And boy, you'll be doing a lot of watching in this one - everything looks amazing. Every second you're blasted away with a new beautiful font or carefully carved platform. I particuarlly love the main Temple of Glass font, that one blew me away. All those carefully placed corners and it's no surprise that Spark made a Zen comparison - Jeffy, you're gonna be blown out of the water one of these days. Better watch your back. Not much else to say except that the disappearing people idea was genius. Moving on...

Level 1: I actually had to go back and play this one over. The look of this level is amazing. You've taken one part awesome abstract detail, one part shattered objects, and a dash of unsettling atmosphere and mixed it all up to make an awesome level. Your platforming is ingenious, while a spinning wheel puzzle may not be all that creative, everything else in this level felt fresh and new. Speaking of new, love the plot you're building up here is great. I've always wanted to see a level take a dark turn, so I can't wait to see what you do going on in the series. Not any other problems with it, great job!

Five stars and a glassy, spooky heart!

(Note: I noticed that you've still kept up your brothers spammy-type levels. I'd delete them if I were you, helps make you look like a better creator. )

OK looks like I'm a little late but indeed wow! it was an amazingly astonishing level (the actual 1st one) and I love the plot of the story, the fact that that guy was like rotting in a glass jar was just so . . . it's hard to explain but the concept of a glass world after life on LBP is just so cool! :star::star::star::star::star:<3 from me. BUT the only bad thing was that the level was a bit short (did you run out of space?) but over all it was fun and challenging, BTW good luck with keeping the series going Ive just started one too and it's hard work! 2010-11-03 06:00:00

Yeah, the thermometer got to high. But I am glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, making series is difficult, you have to increase the awesomeness with each level, but you often learn from your mistakes. This is my first go at it, but I am enjoying it so far.

@B3: My brother is insanely strict on these things. I deleted Night Sky Dreams to get this out. (We have run out of publishing space) But that wasn't that good anyway, I think I will fix the bugs and republish sometime if I can.
On the bright side: Yay! Thanks for awesome feedback! This made my day.

Beautiful. One single word describes perfectly your levels. While I'm writting this I'm watching the Prologue playing by itself. And this only makes bigger my feelings and thoughts about your levels. Each certain time, a new creator comes to LBPCentral and creates something outstanding, this time this creator comes in a sweet zebra-skin .
Let's begin.
Prologue.
There are hundreds of "level that plays itself" out there, and almost all the creators can make this kind of levels. But only a few of them have the skill of making it unique and enjoyable to watch.
I loved your corner edit and sticker work. Every font on the level looks really good and unique. The way that you tell us the main story of the series that you're creating is just awesome: short texts with colorful images and cool animations (refering to the lifeless part). The whole mechanism here is great. I've nothing to complain about the Prologue, it was just fantastic.
Level 1.
Alright, the intro looks really good, I liked a lot the fonts that you designed for this part. Sticker work is good, because you use only the necessary and you don't overload your level. Also, I liked that although your series are about glass, you don't use this material in the whole level. Sometimes a lot of glass can affect platforming and gameplay in general, but your level is well balanced in this aspect. And here we go again with corner edit, because your platforms and objects in general are well made, and this contributes to gameplay. I liked that feeling of intrigue that there is in your level. The guy character is simple but effective and I just loved your visual and art style in general. There're lots of parts that got me impressed.
The section of the big rotating thing is good, although I must said that it got me dizzy.
The part where you have to pop up brains was really fun, I spent a lot of time playing here.
And yeah, as other people, I also think that the level is a bit short, but it isn't bad, because it is enjoyable from the beggining to the end.
I gave you a total of 10 brilliant :star: and 3 <3(both levels and one as a creator), and the promise that I'll be really excited waiting for your next levels

@Rocanlover: Thanks! You deserve it. Brilliant feedback, I am really glad you liked it. It made me smile (That goes for everyone!). I worked as hard on the Prologue as I did on the first level. I really wanted to make the story work, I am so pleased it is getting such good reviews. -And eek! Creator heart! <3 Thanks, I haven't even done that many levels at all.

@Everyone: In fact, you are all awesome. Really. Pat yourselves on the back for your awesomeness. Because of you, I can't stop grinning. Got that?!

OK Now for my Feedback

Ill Try to do my feedback as long and cool as B3s,rOckalOvEers and sparks feedback.

First of all the prologue is Awesome, Epic, And looks great... and it Rocks, In other words, This should be spotlighted with the main level.

OK now to Level 1:

Slowly scrolling down in an orb is so cool! And I don't think i have ever seen square stickers used to look so cool before.

Great to see you didn't do strait stairs at the start too you made stairs exciting

Your first puzzle is so cool, i think i have seen something like it before but i like the way you did it, And the wobbling platform with shapes you have to jump on
(you know the one, after the first puzzle) Is a very cool idea also.

the jumping on the brains is very fun and i love it, but ill let you in on a secret, They count as points and i didn't realy think they did and was bouncing on them for fun and got high score I wish there was a setting you could change on it, anyway as long as nobody else thinks of it ill have the high score

Then Pink to the scoreboard! Woooow totally epic! can not wait for the rest of the series, the story sounds like its going to be a very good one.

5 stars and a heart for both of them! Great level!!! keep up the good work!

Hehe, that explains why I got so many points when repeatedly failing at the brains. I feel more mastery over my level now...

Thanks for cool feedback! I am glad you liked the obstacles, I am not very good at thinking of gameplay. I wasn't sure about the orb, I was wondering whether to hide it, but with glass this is a little hard... Now I am really happy I didn't.

This was my expression while reading you review: ^_^ (In other words: Yay! *hugs*)
