Wow... I didn't know where to put this, in General Chat or General Gaming, but Keiji Inafune has left Capcom. Here's a link to the source.

Very big shame, since they're now working on Mega Man Legends 3, Keiji's favourate series. Anyone else sad to see him go?

I'm sorry he didn't left as a corpse, I will never forgive him for allowing the Devil May Cry franchise to be given to an external non Japanese studio,2010-11-01 17:45:00

Coot, do you really still read that stuff?
The man is one along with Yochi Wada is one of the main reasons why the Japanese industry is going down the drain.
It's not only a problem of money and good tech, the problem is this sensless need to change their approach to games.
Japanese games have their own peculiarities, character designs, game pace and feel.
The desperate need of levelling to Western culture is destroying them.
They should be proud of who they are and make what they can do best.
Oh, and try to release less stupid games that work only in their market, like date and train simulations and the such.

And Japanese gaming and ideas are not dead, otherwise THQ wouldn't have signed Tomonobu Itagaki's Valhalla games and ZeniMax wouldn't have bought Tango Gameworks.
