I'm both happy and annoyed at this update. happy because the demoman finally gets something (even if its only a reskin) and annoyed because the updated sucked out all of my favourite servers. either way pretty enjoyable, I just need 2 refined

Does anyone know if TF2 on mac can polay online agisnt PC users? Always wanted to buy it, may well do so if this is the case... Edit: Feck it, you can play against PC users. I'm buying it now, and hoping the community online is still strong. I wanted ot for ages after playing the 360 version, but my pc wouldn't run it. My mac will, so here goes nothing. Also, i get gary's mod at the same time Steam name is ir0nmaid3nfan - Some of you may even remember when i was called that on here Edit 2: Is done, downloading now. Any tips for a noob like me? Edit 3: After a couple of internet cutouts, i've almost done the 6GB, 20 minutes or so to go. It's 2:30am, but i'm gonna have a quick go before bed

Don't worry alex, the community is still booming on PC. However, there's a lot of bull servers out there. My advice is to play vanilla (ie no mods) servers with 24 players max. That's how the game was meant to be played. Insta respawn messes it up IMO. Saying that, it's a strange time to start playing as everyone will be playing the halloween map to get gifts and fight the boss. Give it a few weeks to really give it a chance, the Halloween stuff ends November 8th I believe. In terms of gameplay advice, it's confusing at first. Not terribly so, but with 9 classes which play very differently with many offering lots of depth, weapons that unlock randomly (or by achievements) and hats which are rare to come by so everyone wants them (the game sometimes gets called a hat simulator) it's a strange thing to get in to. But it is one of the most FUN FPS's I've played in so long. Not too serious, and skill does play a big factor, but not so much that newbies can't enjoy. It's actually my favourite FPS on PC, as (generally) the maps are brilliant and the game has insane replay value. Not to mention the constant free updates which if it were activision, would charge you ?10 for each too. You can add me on steam if you want - ryryryan
