The Four Elements

The Four Elementssharistamps
Master the four elements: earth, air, fire and water. Best for 1-2 players. You start out in water, then move through fire, earth and finally air. There are lifts, launch pads, horrible gas, and electricity.
This is my first published full level. (I also have a fire race mini-level out there). I just tweaked a few little things on it yesterday to make playing more smooth. Please play it and make comments. I want to be a great creator someday. I have no idea how to do a screenshot. I'd like to learn, tho!

How do I get more people to try my level? I honestly don't know how people get hundreds of plays on their first levels. It's baffling.2010-11-03 19:33:00

Uploading a picture or two of your level helps, I think. I know I'm certainly more likely to try out a level from LBPC if there is a picture. If I remember, I'll have a look at your level tonight.

I tried out your level and it's a very solid level. I'm not sure I've ever simultaneously adored and feared anything quite as much as I did the jellyfish in the first section! The large points bubble cache in the air section seems a little out of place. I would hide the emitter in the earth section. Also, due to the way the gas moves, some of the platforms in the earth section were a little tricky to differentiate if they were in the gas or not, though I'm not too sure how you could fix that.

The gameplay was very solid if nothing too adventuresome, but the visuals could use a little more work -- it would've been nice to see a bit more of your artistic personality injected into the level.

How do I upload pics? I'm sure the answer is around LBPC somewhere. Can you post a link?2010-11-23 18:56:00

It's fairly simple you first:

Create an account with Flickr.com
Take the desired pictures of your level in 'Play Mode' to hide any wires or switches.
From your Pod, open up your popit menu and go into your pictures. Press the square button and save to HDD
Do step 3 with each picture.
Close LBP
Open up the web browser on the PS3 and go to Flickr.com (there may already be a link at the homepage)
Login to Flickr.com with user name and password created from step 1
Upload pictures to Flickr (your pictures will be stored in your PS3 under the photos section)
Go to a CPU and log back into Flickr.com
Click on Photostream once logged into Flickr
Click the picture you wish to upload
Click 'Share This' and then click on 'Grab the HTML/BBCode'
Click on BBCode and then 'copy' text
Paste that text to your thread
Enjoy picture
