I think there may already be a thread like this, but that might just be "Favorite Cartoon". So, I'm going to say Johnny Bravo. Oh the laughs I got out of that poor, helpless guy. | 2010-10-27 22:01:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |

Gir, IMO, is too over wh*red, I mean yeah he's funny but I mean, half of the people that buy shirts with him on it don't even know who the author was, know that Johnen also makes JtHM and Squee!, know who Dib is, or know all the episodes from start till end. It annoys the hell out of me >.< My favorite Cartoon character would have to be http://53rg10.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/the_melancholy_of_konata_izumi_by_kyrk.jpg Konata from Lucky Star, just because she likes to talk about food and Anime, that's totally me Oh also @Wes: Wanna get high? From my fav cartoon characters would be GIR, Jerry (classics PWN!) and the Road runner! XD, and almost all the classic nickelodeon cartoons like the angry beavers, rocko's modern life, etc.... | 2010-10-28 01:01:00 Author: Ragnarok Posts: 898 |

I don't have a favorite. I don't like to favorite things too much. :/ But, one of my favorites is this guy: Edit by BabyDoll1970: Sorry, image removed due to inappropriate content. . Never stopped making me laugh! (And some other cartoon characters, even anime characters, were my favorites... but there's too many to list, so let's skip that part.) | 2010-10-29 01:16:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Well, if I need to contribute a more family friendly character, then I guess I'll go with Konata. Nothing says cute and friendly like a girl who's face resembles the =3 emoticon. http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m80/fullmetal_014/konata.jpg But in seriousness, I think I'll stick to Code Geass and Towelie. | 2010-10-29 01:46:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
I'll go with Samurai Jack. | 2010-10-29 02:06:00 Author: warlord_evil Posts: 4193 |

Wow this thread is nostalgia on a stick. Hop on it. | 2010-10-29 02:13:00 Author: Unknown User |
And that stick is ohhh soo tasty! Old cartoons were the best. New ones have absolutely no witty humor, or humor at all for that matter. They're all just pointless cartoons where the characters say dumb things and scream all the time, and those shows, I swear, are making kids dumber... Yes, Chowder, I'm looking at you. :kz: My opinion of course... | 2010-10-29 02:14:00 Author: piggabling Posts: 2979 |
Ahhh my next favorite is REN and STIMPY!!!!! | 2010-10-29 02:33:00 Author: WESFUN Posts: 1336 |
What I liked best... were the creepier, darker shows: Fullmetal Alchemist, Courage the Cowardly Dog, and Samurai Jack. They don't play shows like that anymore... Fullmetal Alchemist is completely depressing, filled with themes like love and old age and "playing God" with alchemy. Behind the colorful appearance of Courage are psychotic antagonists, torture, death, the paranormal, and a freaky vibe to the whole show that highlights the fear of little kids. Samurai Jack... not quite as dark besides the loneliness of the main character, but a very unique and ambitious show: very little dialogue despite the power and art of each episode. I somehow missed Invader Zim but I think I would have liked that too. I regrettably say that the shows I followed most closely were Yugioh when I was little and Naruto a little after that. I've most recently enjoyed Family Guy and I must admit that the 3 episodes I saw of Adventure Time were the most delightfully nonsensical things I've ever watched. Oh yes... pictures. And Samurai Jack has already been mentioned so I'll leave him out. http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu354/edwardslova/My%20FMA%20Pics/FullmetalAlchemist-1.jpg http://files.sharenator.com/courage_the_cowardly_dog_Tribute_to_the_old_Cartoo nNetwork-s425x326-29888-580.jpg | 2010-10-29 02:35:00 Author: Incinerator22 Posts: 3251 |

How long did it take you to come up with that? XD Seriously lmao xD Hmm, 98 words per minute is about 8.16 clicks per second so...1.04 seconds. Includes the time it took me to think of it and to type it out. Thats using a word as 5 clicks and counting the time it takes brain signals to reach my fingers. I could have typed it faster if the letters for your name weren't so awkward to type out. | 2010-10-29 03:32:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |

ill admit I used to watch Salior Moon:blush: He he, I remember that show. I used to watch it when I was a kid (6-8 I think), but it was mostly my sisters doing the watching. I actually got bored of it after a while. *Racks brain a bit more.* Wasn't there some "mysterious" guy saving the blonde one? I think he wore a mask. But it's funny because back then I thought he was also a girl. | 2010-10-29 04:30:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Hmm, strange that all the characters I find the most memorable in my mind originate from Western animation (if not without some Eastern influence). I guess my opinion of Anime really has degraded more then I thought over the past decade. Although I do seem to gravitate towards more villainous characters, because everyone knows they're way cooler http://www.zanimation.tv/directorimages/PinkyAndTheBrain.jpg "The same thing we do every night, Pinky ...Try to take over the world!" There probably isn't a character in animation who can match the Brain in sheer creativity, and you have to admire the fact that he not only makes a legitimate effort at world domination night after night but keeps at it despite constantly failing. There's also something oddly captivating about the fact that he is deliberately voiced to sound like Orson Wells. http://www.internationalhero.co.uk/x/xanatos2.jpg "Pay a man enough, and he'll walk barefoot into hell." David Xanatos from Gargoyles was completely unlike any villain in cartoons that came before him and probably after. While he wasn't the first evil genius of western animation (and probably not the smartest in terms of raw IQ), he is likely the wisest. He played all his hands with a loaded deck to insure he'd come out on top almost all the time, didn't waste resources on petty vengeance or vendettas, and ultimately realized the needlessness of continuing his mechanations with the Gargoyles without needing to learn via some sort of karmic retribution and remained fundamentally the same person. This also means that unlike just about any antagonist in any other series, his conflict with his one time enemies not only comes to an end, but he did it while getting away with everything he did (he didn't even pay for saying "Hell" on a DIsney cartoon show). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lb8fWUUXeKM "He he he ... ha ha ha ha ... AH HA HA HA HA HAAH!!!" I had to use a vid instead of an image given the character. While I like Heath Ledger's take on the Joker in "The Dark Knight," the animated incarnation in the DC Animated Universe portrayal, brought to life by none other then Mark "Luke Skywalker" Hamill will always be the definitive version of the character to me and many others. His voice acting brought the perfect mix of silliness and sinister to the character and is a reason why it is in the mind of several people who read a comic featuring the Joker. The laughter says it all. http://img477.imageshack.us/img477/5316/zukoseasontwogw5.jpg "I want the Avatar, I want my honor, I want the throne. I want my father to not think I'm worthless." To be fair, just about every character on Avatar: The Last Airbender was great, but as far as being well written the title goes to Prince Zuko. While he does do some fairly heinous things thoughout the show, of all the characters he shows the most character development by far, easily eclipsing even Avatar Aang, and by the second season the show is practically as much Zuko's story as it is Aang's; his relationship with the rest of his family is half of what drives the story along, and his relationship with his Uncle in particular is particularly endearing. The fact that the writers did such a good job with the character is also one of the reasons why "The Last Airbender," not to mention any future M. Night films (which will hopefully not come to pass), couldn't hope to possibly match the show in terms of portraying compelling characters given limitations in duration and ... other shortcomings. | 2010-10-29 04:34:00 Author: Dapiek Absaroka Posts: 512 |

@Dapiek I loved Joker. He was my hero back then. His acting (and evilness) just amazed me. As for Pinky, I thought he was a moron. I actually remember the show he came out on. *Cue the cathy jingle.* "It's time for Animaniacs...." | 2010-10-29 04:44:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
