Hello thar
I am sure you have all played Lockstitch's levels by now (if not where have you been!) And in this thread I have a movie film I have made for the level and my opinion on it, so enjoy!

"A realm forgotten"

This level was the first I played by my friend Lockstitch and it is one of my all time favourite levels on Little big planet.
"Why do i like it?"- It is for 2 reasons:

Gameplay & asthetics

The first impression of the level when I entered was that he had put alot of work into this level and put me in a positive mood about it. It wasnt too long before I came across the first incredible set-piece of the moving platforms. The idea was simple enough but to get to the top and bring them through a gap so smoothly was just mind-blowing to see for the first time. Another element was the intuitive use of emitters. This was first shown by the bridges fading and appearing not too far from the first set-piece. Aslo in the level was the bridge mechanic further on. It was so perfect and the way they arched down was a pure "wow factor" Again with emitters was one of my favourite parts of the level. It was a section where they rotated round in a circle reminicent of the bunker, but differently executed. The idea of making the blocks dissapear into the other rotating piece was incredible to see.

The overall theme was very nice. It gave you a feeling of scale and location. Further into the level it became obvious that you were inside a genie's bottle which was a great idea and tied in with the Middle Eastern material look. Also another feature I liked was the use of the pots throughout the level. It was just to break up areas of blankness but it worked incredibly well. The decorations and stickers were just for the finishing touches to the level, but added alot of beauty to the level. The flowers and mountains were of nice locations and the colour turqoise was carried through the level to help the player without them realising it.

Overall I would rate it :star::star::star::star::star: with a <3 as it is one of my all time favourite levels and would recommend it to any budding creators for inspiration

Good recommendation, but he's a member here and probably would more enjoy that info on his level thread. Recommendations are generally for non members or those members for whatever reason, never created a level thread.

In this case, I'm classifying this as a review, as it's slightly more than just a recommendation
