Sliding the Pop-It
Archive: 11 posts
From the time I've used decorating various levels and my POD as I go through them, I've discovered something that's rather interesting. You can't move the pop-it. Sure, when you go to certain menus, it moves itself to a side, or corner, or something convenient. But the problem lies when it becomes inconvenient. For example, decorating something, and wanting to reference something else in selecting an item, but the pop-it is in the way. There are ways to work around it, but it would be much simpler to slide the pop-it out of the way. Additionally, I've noticed something else. The right stick doesn't get used. Unless you've got an object in your grasp, your right stick is useless. As in it does nothing. Nada. Zilch. Thus, shouldn't the pop-it be able to be moved around with the right stick? Think of the PS3's text keyboard. The right stick slides it around so you can see what you're typing on or typing about. Or just to see something else. I'd like to see that functionality added in the game. | 2008-10-30 03:49:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |

I'd like to see that functionality added in the game. I was just about to suggest that they implement the R-stick... and then you beat me to it. I've found that mildly annoying as well; should be an easy fix if they want to do it. | 2008-10-30 13:03:00 Author: supersickie Posts: 1366 |
This was one of the first problems I noticed in the beta and I thought they would fix it in the full game. Obviously not. It really annoys me, but it doesn't look like too big of a problem for them to bother patching though. ;_; | 2008-10-30 18:59:00 Author: GuyWithNoEyes Posts: 1100 |
Good idea. That is kind of annoying. | 2008-10-30 23:23:00 Author: Coltfirearms Posts: 269 |
this is a good idea Just thought though that if all 4 sacboys opened they're pop-its at the same time in multi player and started sliding them around then it could get quite messy and overlap. But guess they could just make so that they can't overlap and would just hit each other. Then you know you would have pop-it wars where people deliberately try to push each others out of the way on purpose to make the other sack's pop-it cover what they are trying too see lol | 2008-10-31 00:34:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
Well, yes, people using their pop-its to get in other people's way would be eventual. But then again, slapping is abused in the same way. Then again, if you have multiple people with their pop-its open, then sliding around wouldn't do much good. So I suppose that with multiple people, it jumps to a spot and gets locked there, like currently. | 2008-10-31 00:36:00 Author: Mark D. Stroyer Posts: 632 |
Yeah that's what i was thinking too Just like the sound of pop-it wars more for the lulz | 2008-10-31 00:44:00 Author: dorien Posts: 2767 |
It's never bothered me... | 2008-10-31 01:25:00 Author: Tyler Posts: 663 |
it actually bothers me alot and i was surprised like you when they didn't make it moveable like the sony onscreen keybaord... i'm sure if we complain to them enough they'll add it... it's a game based on user content and developer support, so i'm sure they'll do it... | 2008-10-31 01:44:00 Author: big93 Posts: 262 |
Haven't played LBP yet, but I would have expected this feature to be in the game. It'd be a great use for the right stick, lol. | 2008-10-31 04:39:00 Author: scratchbachstan Posts: 65 |
Great idea, hopefully MM implements this feature in a software update. | 2008-10-31 23:56:00 Author: ps3&me Posts: 21 |
