Trouble in world land 2: The desert towerScreeno
have you heard of the legend of the desert tower? one so high that it rises past the level boundary... can you discover it and prove it's existance?
This is my best level, i spent 2 months making it,as a sequel to Trouble in world land.
and encountered teh dreaded 160 hour bug! so got delayed a lot.

i'ts got a mixture of puzzles challenges and boss fights, and has also some bonus areas for you to find. it's sorta medium/hard difficulty

Just played this level and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the underground temple part. Great use of lighting to create a Lost Temple vide. However my favourite part was definitely the little creatures. They had real character. Character design is omething that is often overlooked in community levels, but you have done well. Good job.

Please play my level "Time Bandits Of The Holy Land" aswell. Thank You.

Hey there Screeno, I just played your level Trouble in Worldland 1 and 2. I had alot of fun with them but my advice is if you want a better rating maybe turn down the difficulty a little by slowing the bosses down or adding more cover because many people especially kids are impatient at this and just seem to quit at the first sign of distress. I personally didn't find it too hard but just saying. I also really like the humour but the humour especially in the first. I also liked the look and setting of your level. Nice use of materials, ideas and overall nice design. Definitely worth playing.

Hi screeno! As promised, I played your level (and I still do because i could not complete it at the first try - see below) and give you my feedback.

First: I think that some parts of the level are too hard for many players. Maybe not really too hard but many players exit a level when they die 4-5 times at one position.

For example the jump from the rock in the lava at the beginning of the level. I tried it round about 10 times before I made it to jump across the mountain at the right side. You can't make it with only one jump from the rock. You have to make a second jump and many players will fail some tries before figuring this out.

After the jump there are three enemies which are extremely hard to kill (in my opinion). I tried it many times but after many deaths I just walked around them.

Then the part with the three blocks with deadly spikes. I died 10 times or something like that before I made it. I would change it in this way that you can run against the blocks without dying.

Then I came to the passage with the rope ladder. I climed the ladder, then I took the round, long piece from the ceiling. When I reached the end of this path I was squashed by the lift. And that was the reason why I couldn't complete the level. I was reborn before the rope ladder and the way after the ladder was blocked You really should fix that.

I will play the level again from the beginning and give you more feedback......


Edit:
The part with the two platforms is VERY hard. I would really recommend to make this part easier because I think that 80% of the players will exit the level at this part.

Now I got stuck at the endboss. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I shoot him since 5 minutes but nothing happens. Any hints?

Really a good level, great work! The puzzles and most of the visuals are great. Maybe I would add some more details at the beginning of the level.
Really nice is the teleport at the end of the level! By the way, how do you make such a teleport???

In my opinion the only bad is the difficulty of the level. I think most of the players get frustrated very fast and don't give a level a chance when they die to often or get stuck at one part of the level.

I made the experiance myself when I built my first level. I thought it would be easy but my girlfriend tried it and she died and died and died :-D Then I made it easier and it was still too difficult for her. When you cunstruct a level, you play the parts 100 times and it's easy for you. But for a player which plays the level the first time it can be very hard. And most of the players get frustrated very fast, as I mentioned. That's why - unfortunately - levels should be very easy to be pleasant for most of the players.

You see I wanted to make a quite tough level and it's not aimed at kids. I tried to make it hard but doable. And I will fix the bug you had! The two moving platforms is easy, you grab them to stay on. And to make a teleporter you atach a switch to a check point and have it activated at the same time as you emit gas to kill sackboy, thus sending him to the activated c/point . And 'fo teh boss ya gotta shoot at his things that shoot at you in the middle layer, the two on his side that shoot plasma and the one on the middle that has a laser.2010-10-29 19:47:00

Yes, for you the part with the two platforms (as an example) is easy because you played it 100 times and know what to do. But it's a complete different thing for a player who plays it the first time. Just watch how a friend plays that level and you will see how many times he/ she dies.

It's absolutely ok when you want to make a hard level but just keep in mind that a lot of players out there don't like it when levels are too hard.
