Resident Raytech (Part Spotlighted)LFiers
Hi there all you fellow LBPC members,

Here I am posting the details of my level called "Resident Raytech" which I hope you can check out and play. It is a mysterious hightech facility of unknown origins to all sack people. You wake up within this facility not knowing how you got there and need to find a way out. The is a pure platformer which will hopefully, surprise, intrigue and inspire you as it unfolds. I feel casual LBP players and tech-heads alike will find much to enjoy and see in this level as one of my focuses was to create a very technical level but still be fun and accessible at the same time. I poured alot of effort and time into this level and really spend alot ot time racking my brain to come up with some truly unique ideas which hopefully hasn't ever been seen in LBP before. At the same time I wanted a totally unique looking level as you can see within the screenshots.

I would love to do F4F (Feedback for Feedback) for EVERYONE and ANYONE who plays my level and and leaves their thoughts in the comments section. I will continiually check my comments and play all of your levels to return the favour guaranteed. I really hope you enjoy my level "Resident Raytech". Thank you very much and I look forward to playing your levels. LFiers...

Here are some screen shots to give you an idea of the design and work I have put into "Resident Raytech":

Hey there Screeno, I just played your level Trouble in Worldland 1 and 2. I had fun with them but my advice is if you want a better rating maybe turn down the difficulty by slowing the bosses down or adding more cover because many people especially kids are impatient at this and just seem to quit at the first sign of distress. I like the humour but the humour seemed better in the firstl. The boss needed for shelter to hide from them plasmas.

Please check out my level "Resident Raytech" and I hope you enjoy. Look forward to your feedback.

I played your level. It was bl oody brilliant from start to finish. Loved the emitter tricks and innovative platforming they caused.
I have one thing to say though, the guy who said he's the boss said a little too much and it's hard to follow. All the same yours Puts mine to shame. Can you post your thoughts on my thread because no one has posted on it yet, and erase the one in this thread thanks. Also it would be good if you spread news on my level around, I do it with yours.

Just played this lewvel and thought it thoroughly deserves its 5 star rating. It is definitely one for the tech heads. Lots of logic, emitter tricks, hidden doorways, etc. I also liked the path of the level. It isn't straight linear. When pulling a switch it rotated a section that you just passed through to create another path. I feel the lack of music at the start of the level created bit of an empty feeling so maybe you could look at that. Otherwise job well done.2010-10-26 07:47:00

Erm... wow? That was amazing! Honestly, I think a lot of what you did in that level is illegal in most countries for being just too awesome...

Positives
+ L-l-loving the, uh, "dope" blue colour scheme, and you were consistent with it, and your choice of materials and stickering was well done.
+ The emmiter thingies... well, what can I say? I don't know how you did that! They worked perfectly, absolutely fantastic...
+ I liked the boss, thought he was quite funny.

Negatives
- Probably a thermo thing, but I thought it was too short I WANT MOAR AWESOME
- There isn't a sequel yet.
- You still haven't made a sequel.
- DO IT NAO

Haha, jokes aside, this level deserves its 5 stars and a big fat juicy heart from me. Whatever it is that you're doing, just keep doing it!

Hi LFiers!

As promised I played your level and it's quite amazing. Great Job! It's not my favorite setting but the effects are awesome.

How did you make these moving emitters? Is there any kind of unvisible material where they are attached to??? I always wanted to have an unvisible material but I don't know wheather such a material is existing.

One tip from my side:
I got stuck for some minutes after the 2 blue platforms at the beginning had moved the second time. I didn't see that there is a lift because the "touch"-symbol is very small. Would be good if it was easier to see what to do there.

I've had some sneak peaks at this level for some time now and It's great to see that its finally published and out there for everyone to play.

LFiers has put all his creative energy together to bring out some really interesting ideas in this one. Chances are that more than one part of this level will suprise you. I would definitely recommend giving it a go. 5/5!

LFiers,

Cloud Here!

Your honesty is much appreciated! Almost to the point of laughter because many of the area's that truly need work, you pointed out... And I'm grateful! You have my word on playing your level of course... without question. This was just the direction I needed. I'll make these adjustments right away!

Okay, WOW. I was totally blown away with the gameplay. It's totally reminiscent of LBP's beloved creator, Lockstich.
First up, the PROS !
-the non linear path at the beginning was something fresh that LBP's been waiting for.
-the use of the infamous "Lockstitch Emitter Technique" was brilliant
-the blue theme fit nicely!

Now, the CONS
-the lack of music made the level seem lifeless.
-the red neon lines at the beginning of the level seem odd in a blue-themed level.

With that said, GREAT level!
a total of :star::star::star::star::star: and a pirate's <3 goes to you! I totally recommend this level to anyone. :arg:

What an inspiring level!

Absolutely loved it! One of the best i've played in a while. The start was a little puzzling, but with a little brain power I pulled it off! XD The various platforms moving around, being created in front of my eyes were astounding! This level was so well thought out and played amazingly.

I gave it a well deserving :star::star::star::star::star: and <3'ed it!

Great work!.........Hmmm it says that this is your first published level? I have my suspicions that you are a master creator on a new account....who on earth would do such a thing?!......*shifty eyes*

Just played this level and it is truly unique. The level design is great and the platforming puzzles are outstanding. The mechanical movements are ingenious and quite familiar to those who played Lockstitch's levels [man, they're starting to copy his ideas. First "The Magical Factory", then "Honey Hive Redux" and now this]. Overall, that was a colorful and gameplay greatness level. 5 :star:s and a <3.

Play and F4F "The Hero Chronicles LV8 Phantom Planet part 1 and 2"

Hi LFiers, I've played your level. I know sometimes people try be nice but I want to be honest so don't be offend... don't worry your level is awesome, hehe. Most 5 stars levels have beautiful scenery but they don't have gameplay, I mean they don't have nothing original in gameplay what I've never seen before. The most important for me is originality and gameplay so I like your level. There is lots of nice ideas, some what I never saw before. Also design is very good and level is well balanced. Level doesn't have the best graphic (4 stars) but I don't care because this level is just fun. I really enjoyed so deserve 5 stars and heart from me.2010-10-29 21:27:00

A great level with detail worthy of a

Cons:
There was a lot of repetition in the gameplay.
What the character said at the end seemed to introduce a story, but introducing a story at the end is the wrong time

Pros:
Great detail.
I loved the way things seemed to work with the theme. (Example: The starting platforms that rotate later and move up.

Overall great level

Edit:
Whoops! forgot about my F4F level

Ha, looks like I'm sick of the magic emitters/platforms already.
Visible sound effect before the wind tunnel. Blue gas has too large of an area at the end of the tunnel also.
Didn't care for the music (or the wait-and-see approach after you press a button).. but those are personal preferences.

So yeah, worth a play. For me personally it didn't have enough charm to win me over.
But I'm sure the other 99% of people will love it.

Ending on a more positive note, I'm glad the future has less 2-way switches.
Surprised this level didn't make in into the full spotlight.

Just played this. Gorgeous level and fun mechanics. Three suggestions.

1. The dark area is really annoying if you are stuck with less than able players. I'd add a bit of light unless you do #3.
2. Same thing with the beginning in out elevator section. I'd add an inf. spawn there.
3. Add one of the join limiters at the beginning of the level so I'm not stuck with idgets who are trying to kill me.

Fantastic. Full stars and hearted.

For F4F, any or all of the levels in my sig. Thanks!!

Wow! Just wow!

You did a lot of things I've never seen before, and it was all pulled off tightly. The snake-circle-things were especially nifty. Though my favourite part was the bit with the semi-circles rotating back and forth with electric barrels.

I'd hate to see how many wires there must be in Create mode! (but I'd love to find out how you pulled off some of those tricks!)

Amazing level! Maybe not the most challenging, but I was too busy gaping at your mechanisms to focus on precision jumping, so that's probably a good thing!

You did a good level there, quite refreshing !
Here are some feedbacks :
I liked the global graphic design but I find there should be more contrast between electric and safe materials (but maybe you wanted that in order to trap the player).
All the mechanisms making blocks appear are just awesome !! (At the begining I wasn't surprised as I have already seen such mechanisms in Lockstitch's levels but the way you used it is totally different) the looping one is just crazy !
I liked too the beams making parts disappear.
However I find that some shapes didn't fit with the atmosphere of your level, such as grabable five-branches stars.
Moreover the first puzzle is quite confusing, there is too shiny parts.

Anyway it's a nice level and I gave a deserved :star::star::star::star::star:
If you have time someday I would be interested to know your opinion on my level below, thanks.

Great job !

Visuals and graphics were well done. It had the tech nature to it.
Gameplay was fun.

Overall, a great level that was well designed and fun to play.

Impressive work.

Pros:
+polished mechanics
+expert emitter and dissolve use
+level design well planned
+pure eye candy
+original contraptions

Cons:
-I personally liked the music in the begining and wished you would have add more parts of that song as the level progressed

Recommendations:
-Your level is complete, work on next

Impressive work, I enjoyed the play. :star::star::star::star::star: and<3'ed

Thanks for your feedback...

I played your level and it got me scratching my head with how you got various platforms twisting and floating through the air, then parts being emitted on a complex path... I like that... You must be using some clever DLC that I missed ;-) (runs off a googles emmiter tricks)

A very inspiring level and I enjoyed it a lot... I died frequently, but that did not leave me frustrated , as the frequent check points were positioned exactly where they need to be.

Fantastic work, must have taken a long time to craft and perfect it - I'm in awe

Really great use of the sliding emitted platforms concept. I love levels like this where somethings activated and the level changes in a creative and unexpected way. The visuals are great and gameplay fun while also being entertaining from simply watching the mechanisims come into asction. One of the best levels I have played. Amazing work .2010-11-13 15:05:00
