I got something to express.

Archive: 10 posts

I'm not complaining or anything like that... But I have been scanning these forums for a little while, and I got to the PSP level section to check out some nice levels, but i look at the number of reply's and when the most well known sack person post a level, it can get up to 10 - 90 reply's depending on the sack person. But when another sack person, some might be new and some might not post that much or isn't well known, will have little to none reply and or views... To me that's kinda little discouraging and makes you want to just move on. I have no idea why I posted this, but I just had to say this out to the happy gadders out there in My Moon, wanting people to play there creation... Just expressing my Amendment Lol. 2010-10-23 01:49:00

I think people don't do that much without reason these days. For example Down Underground by metsfan got tons of replies before it even got spotlighted and my first level, which was horrible, got 8 replies. The only reason we leave threads without feedback is if the level was awespme-ish and even he gets some sort of feedback.2010-10-23 02:01:00

This is the way it is. I started out with a couple levels that were okay, The Malbora series. (which is now featured). I didn't get very good (or much) feedback. Anyways, I kept creating and tried to make better levels and now, whenever I publish a level, I get at least 2 pages of feedback. Those are my thoughts.

I didn't get much feedback on my level at first, but then I kept telling people to check it out and then I started getting tons of feedback. Those were good times...2010-10-23 04:34:00

Well it's always been the case, even since the release of LBP PS3 - which are you going to look at and leave feedback first? A level by your favourite creator that you know's going to be awesome, or a level be someone unknown?
That's not to say everyone does this, but if you can only download one or two levels, you don't usually want to take a risk. I agree it's unfair, but loads of levels get feedback (in fact I think it's rare for a lbp psp level to get no feedback at all).

That is the way in which life works. To become a recognised and seasoned creator one must work tirelessly and use all the little feedback given. Only then may one work their way up. Just don't give up.2010-10-23 19:33:00

If you are worried about people not bothering to give you feedback, put something in your description to keep people there once they look at your level. ADVERTISE! Just having a more lengthy description can make you level seem more legit, and grammar, its sad but true, capitals and full stops could make or break a level. Screens are undoubtedly what has the most effect on the first impressions of your level, people are far more likely to take notice if you have even one.

F4F is also a piece of pure awesomeness. It does what it says on the tin, but remember to specify the level you want feedback on, a link never goes amiss (unless your computer crashes, obviously).

But just don't give up, work with the feedback you get to keep improving and things will get easier.

One more thing to make your level get feedback is have an attractive original post. Many times I have seen horrible grammar, abuse of smilies and "don't play this".2010-10-24 15:18:00

oh, and you can leave feedback on amazingflyingpoo's levels... why?
Well, becouse (as far as im remembered) all his levels in the showcase are F4F and he always (and when i say always i mean ALWAYS!) leaves good and true feedback in the your levels, then people read his feedback and get their conclusions (about if the level is good or not), and if they find it good overall they will play it (and maybe leave feedback on its tread).

well, atleast i always read his feedback
so if he feedbacks you saying something like "this is my new favourite level, congrats!" you'll have my plays and my feedback for sure

(BTW, feedbacking in velcrojonze's levels works too, but you'll have to say the level you want him to feedback)
