Is it possible to have the holographic material see through?

Is it possible to have the holographic material see through, then when stood on a switch or what ever make it light up?

I have been testing this, and it isn't see through totally, you can still see it ever so slightly.

Sure! Once a switch is attached, you have two states of the holo material. Have the off to 0 and the animation also 0. Then dial in like 100 or so on the brightness for on as well as whatever percent of animation you desire. 2010-10-21 16:39:00

Keep in mind that setting it to 0 will still make it visible in create mode. You have to switch to play mode or turn preview mode on for it to be completely invisible. 2010-10-21 16:43:00

I have one more question if you don't mind helping me.

I have just redownloaded all my level packs and costumes and such after wiping my HDD. I have installed them, and I see my costumes, but where are the levels?
Can you even play the Pirates and Metal Gear levels in LBP2 Beta?

Nope, no story levels from LBP1 are in LBP2, be it DLC or on the disc.

But costumes, stickers, sounds etc. DLC stuff are imported to LBP2 with your LBP1 profile and you can include them in LBP2 levels ;]

I also think DLC levels should be playable since items from those packs work on LBP2, there Store menu but it's unaccessible in beta

Actually you can......

You need to find a level that has the DLC from whatever pack you want to play. Something made by another creator or if you have a sticker/decoration/material or item from a dlc pack you can make your own level.

Basically what you do is play the level that uses the dlc. When your finished go to the find dlc used in this level option. If you select it you should see all the icons from the dlc pop up like your in the store. If you've purchased them you will be able to play them just like in lbp1.

I had to do this to get some materials that didn't transfer over to my lbp2 profile. (not everything comes over into your profile. Depends on what you had when the data 2 imports was made)

You can thank xkappax for figuring this out btw, she's the one that told me how to do it.

Placing a black sticker on it will also turn it invisible. Depending on your needs, this is a quicker and easier solution to mucking with logic of it's not necessary.2010-10-22 11:48:00
