Visual Site Overhaul

was thinking with LBP2 coming and so many changes in this site don't you think it's time for a visual overhaul of this site?

I got these sheets from the LBP.me site and had ideas for great ways to implement them in the site and such:

most of these could be used to give the Community Spotlight a little more "flair" as well as help organize levels based on their genre and such (maybe even edit/make your own Community Spotlight badge to award spotlights with)

and for the rest of the site and background some of these can be used too.

maybe even make a contest to pick out some screenshots to display up on the top to replace those LBP1 pics

and change the background to a darker (or black) color to help save energy and watts

The only thing about that is there are rules for using the stuff MM provides.

the fasite kits even have them stated in the file when downloaded.

By using the materials contained in the LittleBigPlanet fansite kit (?the Fansite Materials?) you

lol yeah I agree...unless CC could ask Mm and see if they'll allow it (we all know LBPC is a special fansite to them) so who knows2010-10-21 08:06:00

I think they used to use MM fansite kit stuff on here, but they removed it in favor of a user created (not sure if thats the best term) layout, so they could put ads and generate some money to pay to keep the site running.2010-10-21 08:11:00

well we do have ads here...just not that noticeable (which is pretty good imo)

but yeah maybe they could edit those icons or make their own based on those

anyways would be cool to have a new visual overhaul....id like this site to look more darker (to save energy/watts) and have more HD and LBP2 stuff 		2010-10-21 08:21:00

Does a darker color layout actually save energy? I honestly have never heard of that.

yeah because with darker colors you're not using as much light, so you're saving watts

this is what I used to use for google (http://www.blackle.com/), it even counts the amount of watts saved (in hours)		2010-10-21 08:57:00

lol ANYWAYS yeah a darker LBPC would be cool...plus the darker it is the easier on the eyes know what i mean?2010-10-21 09:18:00

I don't agree with a darker site either. LBP is a colourful and bright game! So the site should reflect that... Which it does!... for the most part...2010-10-21 17:48:00

It's not like I'm asking for the entire site to be pitch black...i'm just saying darker backrounds would be nice (darker meaning colors...not darker as in evil or something like that)2010-10-21 17:50:00
