But seriously Those two trilogies are AMAZING. Here's a plot starter for both series: The Hunger Games Trilogy: The Hunger Games trilogy takes place in an unidentified future time period after the destruction of North America, in a nation known as "Panem." Panem used to consist of a rich Capitol, located somewhere in the Rocky Mountains, and thirteen surrounding, poorer districts which cater to the Capitol's needs. As punishment for a previous rebellion against the Capitol wherein the thirteenth district was supposedly destroyed, every year one boy and one girl from each of the remaining twelve districts, between the ages of twelve and eighteen, are selected by lottery and forced to participate in the "Hunger Games." The Games are a televised event where the participants, called "tributes," must fight to the death in a dangerous outdoor arena until only one remains. The winning tribute and his/her corresponding district is then rewarded handsomely. It is required viewing for everyone in the districts. Maze Runner Trilogy: When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift. Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind. --- Okay, the Hunger Games is a great series. It has action, sci-fi, survival, a little love, sadness, and everything else. The Maze Runner trilogy is completely different. It's written differently and is not very in-depth with characters. Don't get me wrong, they're still really really good. Every chapter leaves you hanging on what happens next. I want to emphasize that The Maze Runner is extremely Sci-fi, so if you don't like that stuff, don't pick it up. Anyways, I'll stop now. Whenever I see a book discussion I just jump in and can't stop myself. Please tell me if you're going to read any of these!!!
