Im not a huge fan on the Dubstep movement, but all I can say is this.

Enjoy it while you still can.

Soon the evil suit wearing 'Business' men of music will see how popular it is and think "$$$$" Next thing you know, pop songs will have a 'dubstep' style to them.

"Never!" I hear you cry? Remember when house music was massive?.....maybe not, but the point is todays 'pop' is like the after birth of that whole scene.

Sad but true. sorry.

you cant really put vocals over dubstep maybe you can over slowstep , but i like dirty dubstep and i would sound terrible if someone sang over the top .

Exactly. It may sound terrible to you and every other fan of the music, but to a 14 year old, with their favourite pop star warbling over it, it's solid gold.

I prefer my Dub without lyrics, only some songs can pull it off <32010-10-28 03:34:00

I always thought that was a pretty funny analysis of Dubstep.

I mean no offense by it, just thought it was funny! ^_^

I don't really like popular dubstep, but some highly acclaimed drum and bass producers have waltzed into the genre and are showing all the new dubstep kiddies how it's really done.

I feel this is about one of the heaviest drops in dubstep XD [/opinion]

And some dubstep sounds really awesome with lyrics; they don't always have to be hard and heavy to be good though. Dubstep's truly about head bobbing and deep deep bass

DUBSTEP OMG!! Im defintiely a dubhead, and im afraid that the big suit wearing businessman is starting to take over already. Dubstep is slipping into mainstreamm pop, not necessarily a bad thing but at the same time mainstream pop is slipping into dubstep and there is more and more utter tripe out there every day, still i would reccomend that you listen to some old Dub like King Tubby and then listen to the originators of Dubstep - the people who helped evolve it from Dub and Garage into Dubstep - my favourite of this kind of Dub/Dubstep would have to be Silkie and Quest2010-11-08 01:19:00
