How long do you think it will take to go Multi-Plat? I say 6-12 months.
Discuss.

EDIT: Dead Money is out on February 22nd for PS3 and PC, and all other DLCs are being released simultaneously
EDIT: If any of you are worried about downloading Dead Money because it say 00902, when you have 00901, don't worry. It works. A typo maybe

Still developers and publishers have not understood that these kind of moves only makes gamers angry (both the all round gamers that support every console and the supporters of the "ditched" machine) and alienate potential customers.
I won't buy Fallout: New Vegas until there will be a pack with all the contents in one single BLU RAY disc.

Microsoft is still continuing to ruin gaming with these moves.

Yea ad say a good 6 months but they can have the DLC after all PS3ers are getting a free game with Dead Space 2 so I'm not really to fussed about this one.2010-10-19 08:24:00

I don't find healthy for the whole gaming industry and the good of the gamers that publishers take sides.
Those exclusives betas, games, contents is absolutely wrong, whatever platform they are on.
If a game is multiplatform, any gamer should have access to every content available at the same moment.

I find it quite interesting what publisher has taken what side though as there is a pattern within them. EA has buddied up with Sony, both of which where the dominate force last generation whereas now both of them are being beat (sales wise) by this generations big hitters Activision and Microsoft who have buddied up as well. I don't think it's a bad thing though as it's just companies doing what they do best, business.2010-10-19 09:06:00

Though I find interesting your point of view, and a good start for a debate, I can't get out of my mind that "I play videogames, not business"

Yea but when you play a video game you are playing a game that comes from the business of video games. At then end of the day all these publishers care about is making money, the developers on the other hand are the ones that care about the games. There are very few publishers that seem to have struck a balance between making money and keeping there developers passionate and happy, Sony and Ubisoft are good examples.2010-10-19 09:32:00

I think EA is doing a better job than Ubi with their partners and devs.
Also I foresee a brilliant future for THQ that is doing small but firm steps and I really praise them for having had the guts to sign up an eastern team like Valhalla (Tomonobu Hitagaki) and funding him with Western-like budget, support and assets.

And I think that Sony is just messing here and there, I foresaw Insomniac's "departure" since 2 years ago, when Sony didn't show anything from them in any big convention.
Also, Ninja Theory incident and the fusion of Studio London and Liverpool Studios (the once great Psygnosys) is not a good sign.
Then the tension with Poliphony Digital and the LBP2 mess...
Anyway, this thread would be more interesting and populated with another title

EA is going a better job than it has in the past, mainly because they are starting to focus on the quality of their games more.

Insomniac hasn't departed from Sony because they where never really a part of Sony, they where a 2nd party studio so they just kept exclusive with Sony because they wanted to, I'm pretty happy though that they signed the multi-platform deal with EA because they are an amazing company and everyone deserves to play their games. Also, the whole LBP2 and GT5 mess isn't really a mess because it's not often that a publisher will delay a game because the developer isn't ready. Most publishers have a release date and if you don't meet it you don't have a job.

I foresee Warner Brothers becoming the next big publisher, with the Arkham franchise and Mortal Kombat reboot leading the way for them.

Already hitting those fruit-machines pretty hard on the Xbox 360 since December, Fallout: New Vegas DLC Dead Money has now received a February 22nd street-date for the PS3 and PC.

In other DLC news, three further DLC packs for New Vegas have also been announced. Unlike Dead Money, however, it would appear Microsoft have not secured any time-exclusivity rights. From the press release:

In addition to Dead Money, we will be releasing three additional add-on packs in the coming months. These packs will launch simultaneously on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

So are they going to fix the game yet? Or just trying to squeeze some more money before most people remember why they stopped playing the game?2011-02-04 21:16:00

Just gonna say, to those who have Bles 00901, on the store it says 00902, but it doesn't matter. It works. Just in case any of you were worried 2011-02-23 18:32:00

The 1.4 patch came out. Though it mainly addresses the problems opened up by the rereleased 1.3 patch (made to prepare the game for Dead Money).

BUMPITY BUMPY BUMP BUMP

Launching on the 17th May, Honest Hearts takes you out of the Mojave and into Zion National Park in Utah. You?ll be caught between two warring gangs (surprise, surprise) and have to make some tough decisions to decide the fate of Zion.

June and July will see the launch of Old World Blues and Lonesome Road, respectively. The former will see you become part of a scientific experiment while the latter will take you back to work as a courier when you?re contacted by Ulysses ? the courier who refused to deliver the platinum chip at the start of the game.

All of the DLC (including Dead Money) seems really unappealing to me, and not worth my money, except Lonesome Road. God, I bet it will be so awesome.2011-05-04 02:54:00
