Macbeth

I had an English project to teach the class Macbeth, so why not create a game on LittleBigPlanet to teach them? .
My English class had a project to pick a Shakespearian play and to teach the class of it in 40 minutes. Our group chose Macbeth, and at the end of our presentation, I showed the class this level as a way to summarize the story up. They absolutely loved it and was amazed at this game idea! And my teacher was super cool about me brining in my PS3. So I hope you guys at LBPCentral will enjoy it as well!

I highly recommend this level to anyone who knows the story of Macbeth

Note: during cutscenes and dialogs, please don't move or press circle!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that this level was built in six days, so please if you give me any feedback take that into account!!!

Okay, I really liked this, but here are some improvements. You could make the cutouts thin so we don't see the dissolve material, also the last two bubbles of the intro didn't play, and some people might have trouble keeping up with the text.
I hearted this, it was interesting and educational. ps I lol'd that you could repeatedly kill the king.

Thanks for the feedback, Radishlord! I'm glad that you found it interesting and educational lol, so did my class!

Which dissolve materials are you talking about?
And the last two bubbles are just the same thing as the third to the last (they all say the same thing like in the play) so it's not too big of a deal
The text did go a bit fast, but it was for my ap english class, so i figured most of the students there could read relatively fast

LOL i'm glad you like stabbing the king . the class had fun with that as well lololol.

I studied drama at college so I know Macbeth pretty well and this level was a pretty good LBP interpretation of the play. I would say that you focus more on Macbeth's demise into insanity in the middle section, the race is good but you could add to his to show how crazy he actually gets. I would of liked to have seen more of the "Is this a dagger speech" but that's just because it's one of my favourite monologues, the light effects where awesome at this bit though. The chase scene was pretty good but there is a glitch the second time you meet the witches where the platform rises when you get on it making you stuck. Another glitch is the cube with the arrow on it got stuck and I had to restart again.2010-10-18 21:34:00

I just meant the sackboy cutouts- some of them are showing green material around the edges. And the text was about the right speed for me but not all lbp players can read that fast.2010-10-18 21:48:00

@Radishlord, oh lol, wow very helpful tip i will try to remember that next time i create a level
@shotgun_69 hearing that you are a college student studying drama makes me feel really good about my level interpretation of macbeth. thank you so much for the compliment . Hmm, i do not know of any glitch at the platform or square, but i will try and fix it if need be. thank you for telling me. yeahh i was thinking about putting monologues but then like... i didn't want the game to be too texty so i didn't add much >.<. sorry about that lol. And about the sanity thing, originally i wanted the game to progressively get redder and redder but i couldn't find the red fog color in the atmosphere tool options >.<. it was supposed to symbolize death (red) and his insanity (where he loses all of his followers but unfortunately i had to cut that part out due to time and running out of creation space).

Yea I know that feeling of running out of creation space all too well lol. If you're interested I'm looking for BETA testers for my new level and it would help a lot if you could give it a play through before it goes live.2010-10-19 08:32:00

Feedback

Positives:
+Story was great
+Gameplay was okay

NegativeS:
-Speeches were to fast in the beginning, if you slow it down just a little it would be better
-Design of the level looked blocky
-Could use a bit more scenary but I understand your doing it based off of a story (minor problem)

Overall the level was worth playing::star::star::star: keep up the good work
Also I wouldn't mind BETA testing your levels also just send me a pm and ill do it asap

yes!! beta testing should be fun . my psn is dangitsty. just give me a heads up when to do it and i'll help out >
@Sabre_, thank you for your feedback! the main thing i was aiming for was for the story to make sense, so as long as i did that i am happy with my level
- had to make the text fast seeing that this was for my AP english 12 class
- had to design, read the book, discuss it with my group all within a period of 6 days (and SAT's were also part of that 6 days, on top of that i had 5 classes full of ap hw) so i didn't have time to make scenery or make the level look nicer.

but i guess excuses don't cover up the negatives :3 lol.
